2026 Red Bank Invitational Scout Blogs
March 3, 2026
The Red Bank Invitational brought together top teams and elite talent from across the state in 2026. Prep Baseball was on site all weekend to cover the action.
With weather effecting the start of the tournament, the opened was pushed to start on Saturday.
Below are notes and videos highlighting standout performances from each team at the event.

Garrett Shipman, LHP, Hillcrest, 2026
Presbyterian College commit. Strong athletic frame at 6’2”, left-handed pitcher. Sidesaddle windup, a drop and drive delivery, and still room for extension off of the mound. He has a compact arm in the backswing into a ¾ release point. Commanded the FB 84-86, T88, which helped him get ahead in the count all day. His best pitch of the day was his CB 69-71, T73, which was his go to put away pitch. He generated 11/5 movement with heavy sweep all day which generated tons of whiffs down and away to LHH. The CU was 74-76, T77, and maintained decent depth out of the hand. His final line was 5 IP, 0 R, 8 Ks, 1 BB.
