2026 OUTLOOK

+ Collierville enters the 2026 season with expectations firmly set after a dominant 35–10 campaign a year ago. Under head coach Jeff Munier, the Dragons return one of the more experienced and battle-tested cores in Class AAAA, highlighted by a deep stable of college-committed arms and a strong 2027 class that continues to ascend. With pitching depth already established, Collierville once again profiles as a club built to win series.

The identity of this roster starts on the mound. Bradley Stubbs (2026, Coastal Alabama CC), Josh Hull (2026, Jones College), and Reece Denman (2026, Dyersburg State CC) headline a senior-heavy pitching staff that logged significant innings during last year’s 35-win season. Each brings a different look, but all share the ability to attack the zone and handle high-leverage moments. Tyler Robinson (2027) gives the Dragons a quality left-handed presence, further strengthening a rotation that already features frontline depth. When you add the collective experience of this group, Collierville enters the spring with one of the more reliable staffs in District 15.

Offensively, versatility is a strength. Jack Bogenrief (2026, Jackson State CC) provides a steady utility profile and leadership presence, capable of impacting the lineup while contributing defensively wherever needed. Preston Sumner (2027) and Houston Jenkins (2027) bring athleticism and stability to the infield, while Garrett Stephens (2027) and Jacob Caruso (2027) offer speed and range in the outfield. This 2027 class adds length and balance to the order, giving Collierville the ability to pressure opponents both situationally and with extra-base impact.

The Dragons’ success last season was built on depth and role clarity, and that theme continues into 2026. With multiple two-way options and experienced upperclassmen, Collierville can manage innings strategically while maintaining a competitive lineup throughout district play.

The next wave of talent is already emerging. Parker Burleson, Caleb Coover, Colton Cordell, and Will Masco (all 2028s) represent a promising sophomore group pushing for innings and at-bats. Ronnie Sims (2028) and freshmen Paul Cordell, Cameron MacDougall, and Brady Sumner (2029) add long-term projection and depth to an already strong roster.

With a veteran pitching staff, positional versatility, and a proven winning culture, Collierville enters 2026 positioned to contend once again in AAAA. If the Dragons continue to get consistent production behind their experienced arms and maintain the depth that fueled last year’s 35-win season, they have the pieces in place to make another deep postseason run.
