Peachtree Rising Stars ID- Quick Hits
Coleman Conner, C/RHP, 2030, Harrison
Conner showed well at this same event last year and has made noticeable strides to his game. Armed with present athleticism and strength to project in the 5-foot-9, 176-pound frame. Opened the day by running an event best 7.23 60-yd. At the plate, Conner generates strength from the ground-up and stays balanced through impact. Some whip in the barrel and leverage through the zone with ability to creat carry to the pull-side. Finished 2nd in the event with a max (89.5) exit velocity. Athletic actions behind the plate as well as he posted both an event best in C Velo (74) and pop time (2.08). It was another strong look at the well-rounded profile and will be a name we continue to look forward to seeing over the Spring/Summer circuit and so forth.

Sloan Harris, OF/LHP, 2030, Denmark
It was a strong day across the Board for Harris as he showed well in multiple facets. Kicked off the day by clocking at a 7.28 60-yd time backed by a quality first step (1.67 10-yd). At the plate the LHH shows a direct path and stays balanced through the zone in a gap-to-gap approach. Posted a max (82.3) exit velocity. Quality actions in the outfield as well and finished the round with a 68 OF Velo. On the mound, Harris displayed a budding feel for a 3-pitch mix from a compact arm stroke.

Banks Gutierrez, 1B, 2030, North Cobb Christian
One of the loudest showings of the day across the board came from Gutierrez. Long-limbed 6-foot-1, 157-pound frame with budding strength and exudes excellent body control. Present athleticism with quality foot-speed and long strides as he clocked at a 7.35 60-yd. The LHH perpetually lived on the barrel throughout a potent round. Transfers weight really well through the zone and controlled hands stand out with leverage in the barrel while creating carry to the pull side. Finished with an average (84.5) and max (89.9) (1st in event) exit velocities along with a max (336ft.). Athletic actions both in the outfield and at first-base with present arm strength and ability to deliver accurate throws. Posted a 79 OF velo and a 72 IF velo. It was quite the showing for the 8th grader with budding tools throughout and still so much more to project.

Tyler Collins, 1B/3B/RHP, 2030, North Cobb Christian
The 5-foot-10, 193 pound corner infielder and pitcher displayed an all-around, high quality game. He utilizes a strong lower and upper half for a full-body swing producing natural pop. Hands work smoothly through the middle and comfort hitting to both gaps. At 1B, a quick mover at and around the bag alongside good ability to pick short hops on many occasions. On the hill, sported a 4-pitch mix of FB, SL, CH, and CB, all with movement. The FB has natural sink (71-73), while the SL showed great horizontal movement at 66-67. His second and third offspeed also had great movement with the CB acting as a sweeper (65-67) and the CH with good drop. As Collins grows and matures, his game will improve alongside.

Chase Martinez, MIF, 2031, Hillgrove
The twitchy athlete exhibited smoothness at the dish and in the infield. A quick stride and swing put together a solid round with a high LD% from both sides. Hands worked through the zone in one motion with no wasted movement. At SS, Martinez played smoothly as his feet got around the ball and worked towards the 1B. A quick release and snappy arm motion allowed for a fast delivery to the bag. With plenty of room to grow and develop, Martinez is in a great position to be an impact player at the HS level.

Bentley Millis, SS/OF, 2030, Etowah
One of the more unique mound sessions on the day was pitched by Millis. The 5-foot-6, 140 pound RHP was deceptive, changing arm slots and locating his breaking pitches consistently. His slider averaged 2000 RPM and curveball averaged just below that. For a young pitcher that is continuing to grow and develop, Millis is on track for a sneaky good option out of the bullpen for Etowah in the next few years.

Collin Berry, OF/1B, 2031, Blessed Trinity
The 5-foot-7, 139 pound outfielder put on an impressive batting round showcasing his strength and quick hands. Berry is able to use his backside strength to load up well and power through the zone. Had a max exit velocity of 88.8, one of the top EV’s of the day. Berry will be a name to follow in the coming years.
