The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 5th, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK:

Heritage enters the 2026 season with much of its roster intact, bringing back several impact contributors from last spring along with valuable depth and experience throughout the lineup. That continuity should allow this group to settle in quickly and compete early against a demanding slate.

While there are still a few spots to be solidified, the upside within the roster is evident. The combination of returning production and internal competition gives Heritage flexibility as roles take shape over the first month of the season.

The Eagles will be tested throughout the spring with a challenging 5A schedule that features matchups against Grandview, Valor Christian, Broomfield, Mountain Vista, Fossil Ridge, and Regis Jesuit to name a few. Navigating that gauntlet will provide a clear measuring stick and plenty of opportunities to build a strong postseason résumé.

If Heritage can answer its remaining questions and continue to develop as the season unfolds, this is a team with the experience and talent to hold its own in one of the state’s toughest classifications.
