2026 OSSAA Team Preview: Cache Bulldogs

Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

    • Really good athlete who can really go get a ball in the outfield. Top returning pitcher from last year and will be a important part of the offense.

Coach’s Insight: “We have a good amount of returning experience coming back from the last few years. We are going to be solid in many different ways on the field and at the plate. Great group of high character, athletic kids. We are young in terms of our experience on the mound.” – Danny Lee, head coach

Outlook: The Bulldogs return a core that has shown athleticism and versatility throughout their careers. They will also welcome talented newcomers with youth and the opportunity to impact the varsity lineup early in their careers. Offensively, expect Cache to put pressure on opposing teams and for senior Deshaun Harvey to lead near the top of the order. To continue to be successful in a highly competitive 4A, they will also need to execute with a combination of youth and experience littered throughout the lineup. On the mound, both Cale Huntley and Zac Abbott return and will lead the staff attacking the strike zone and pressuring opposing teams. Keep an eye on this gritty group that will continue to play their best baseball down the stretch.
