Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. Mickey Lotus (2026; Lewis Commit) went 1-for-2 with a single, two walks, a hit by pitch, three stolen bases, two runs scored, and three RBIs. Jacob Hite (2028) and Danny Donovan (2026; UW-Parkside Commit) each knocked in RBI singles in this contest. Jonah Sloane (2028) got the win in relief by throwing three shutout innings. Ryan Wollschlager (2026; Pepperdine Commit) finished it off with two shutout innings and two strikeouts.

Nate Kaminski (2027) hit an RBI triple. Curtiss Crossley (2027) collected an RBI on his groundout while he stole two bases and scored a run. Ryne Pearson (2026) hit an RBI single and scored two runs. Then, in the bottom of the sixth with the score tied at five, Cooper Johnson (2027; Purdue Commit) hit the go-ahead RBI double and Keegan Crabtree followed up with a sacrifice fly.

Beckett Weber (2026) went 3-for-3 with a double, two singles, a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Max Heineman (2026; UIC Commit) knocked in an RBI single and stole a base and scored two runs. Kyle Glass (2027) threw the first three innings and punched out three of the five punchouts that the Ironmen recorded in this contest. Lucas Beaty locked down the game and secured the save.

The game was won when the Red Raiders put up six runs in the sixth inning. John Artinghelli (2028) and Diego Herrera (2026; Parkland Commit) hit back-to-back RBI singles to bring the deficit to two. Then, during an at-bat, Matt Keaty (2026) scored on a wild pitch and Diego Herrera (2026; Parkland Commit) scored on an error to tie the game at five. Later in the inning, Gavin Rettberg (2026) gave the Red Raiders the lead on his bases-loaded walk. Next Batter, Leo Bianchin (2026; Kishwaukee JC Commit), hit a sacrifice fly to push the lead to two. The damage was done on offense in one inning.
