Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. The Ironmen offense was led by the top two hitters in the lineup, Gavin Michaels (2026; Cincinnati Commit) and Max Heineman (2026; UIC Commit). Michaels went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a solo home run while Heineman went 2-for-4 with a single, two-run home run, and three runs scored. Drew Stevens (2026; Valparaiso Commit) had a 4-for-4 day at the plate with three singles and an RBI triple. Jacob Engel (2026) got the win by tossing four scoreless innings and striking out five. Landyn Corbin (2026; Augustana Commit) pitched three shutout innings and also struck out five while only giving up a hit.

Brody Peters (2026; Kishwaukee JC Commit) drew the bases-loaded walk. The other RBI knocks were scored on some small ball via a groundout, fielder's choice, and an error. Sean Dabe (2027) threw six scoreless frames and struck out six batters to secure the win.

Matthew Martija came in relief and threw 2.1 innings without allowing a run, which got him the win.

Crocker worked the final two innings, striking out three and allowing one hit to earn the victory. RF Tommy Roelle (2026) was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs for the Warriors, who improved to 19-4 (12-0 West Suburban Gold).
