NOTABLE RECAPS FROM TUESDAY

#23 Lehi (13) vs. #2 Lone Peak (0)

The Lehi Pioneers delivered a clinical performance on both sides of the ball to dismantle the Lone Peak Knights in a lopsided 13–0 shutout. Sawyer Call was the story of the afternoon on the mound, requiring just 90 pitches to navigate a complete-game three-hitter while silencing a usually potent Knights lineup. Offensively, the Pioneers' attack was relentless and highlighted by the long ball, as Hazen Elton and Cole Ybarra both cleared the fences to drive in a combined six runs. Lehi capitalized on five Lone Peak errors and showcased elite speed on the basepaths—headlined by Kannon Whiteley’s three stolen bases—to keep the pressure on from the first pitch to the last. While the Knights struggled to find any rhythm against Call's command, the Pioneers' dominant display across all phases of the game further solidified their status as a team you can't overlook in the 6A class, despite their 9 losses.

Top Performers

#10 American Fork (5) vs. #17 Corner Canyon (3)

The American Fork Cavemen utilized a late-inning offensive surge and a masterful performance from Talon Willardson to secure a 5–3 victory over the Corner Canyon Chargers. The contest remained a defensive stalemate through the first five innings before American Fork’s bats came alive, headlined by Cache Poulson, who delivered a monstrous three-hit afternoon including a go-ahead home run in the top of the 7th and four RBIs. Willardson was the definitive anchor for the Cavemen, carving through the Charger lineup for 10 strikeouts over six innings of work without issuing a single walk. Corner Canyon mounted a late rally fueled by multi-hit performances from Levi Hines, Lincoln Eure, and Tanner Mackay, but Cruz Adams entered in the final frame to stifle the comeback and preserve the crucial Region 3 win.

Top Performers

#8 Mountain Ridge (0) vs. #11 Bingham (1)

In a Region 2 clash that defined the term "pitcher’s duel," the Bingham Miners utilized a walk-off sequence in the bottom of the seventh to secure a breathtaking 1–0 victory over the Mountain Ridge Sentinels. Beckham Lindsey was the star of the afternoon for the Miners, turning in a masterful 81-pitch complete-game shutout while allowing just four hits to navigate a potent Mountain Ridge lineup. On the opposite side, Colby Claassen delivered one of the most dominant performances of the season in a losing effort, racking up ten strikeouts over 6.2 innings and holding Bingham scoreless until the final frame. The deadlock was finally broken when Crew Dredge drove in the game's only run, capitalizing on a three-hit day from Porter Larsen to reward Lindsey's efficiency. Despite multiple scoring threats from the Sentinels—including a 2-for-3 performance from Karson Fankhauser—Bingham’s defensive poise and Lindsey’s command allowed them to clinch the narrow victory and move into a tie for the region lead.

Top Performers

Pine View (8) vs. #24 Crimson Cliffs (6)

In a classic Region 9 tug-of-war that required extra innings to settle, the Pine View Panthers outlasted the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs in an 8–6 thriller. The game was a showcase of high-leverage drama, punctuated by a massive WALK OFF three-run home run from Raiden Hunt that delivered the winning hit on their Senior Night. Crimson Cliffs refused to go quietly, clawing back behind a solo blast from Tyler Ransom and a gritty relief effort from Jamison Thornock and Cole Marchant, who combined for ten strikeouts to stabilize the middle innings. However, Porter Campbell proved to be the ultimate dual-threat for Pine View, delivering a crucial RBI double before taking the mound to toss three innings of scoreless relief to earn the win. Despite the Mustangs racking up nine hits, the Panthers' plate discipline—highlighted by nine total walks—allowed them to manufacture the winning margin in the eighth and secure a pivotal victory in the southern Utah standings.

Top Performers

Bountiful (6) vs. Alta (2)

The Bountiful Redhawks relied on patient plate appearances and a dominant middle-relief outing to secure a 6–2 victory over the Alta Hawks. Bountiful jumped out to an early lead by capitalizing on seven walks and timely situational hitting, led by Daxton Jenkins, who finished with a game-high three RBIs including a sacrifice fly. While the Hawks managed to keep the game within reach behind a solid relief effort from Adrian Velador, their offense struggled to find consistency against a Redhawks pitching staff that limited them to just four hits. Hudson Malmrose earned the win on the mound, but it was Tegan Barnes who provided the necessary length in relief, tossing four scoreless frames and allowing only one hit to effectively stifle any comeback attempt and preserve the win for Bountiful.
