Hitter of the Week: Week 7
Luke McNabb OF / Crismon, AZ / 2027Bottom of the 7th, two outs, bases loaded, down three. The kind of moment every kid has played out a thousand times in the backyard. This time, it was real and Luke delivered, launching a walk off grand slam to cap one of the most electric performances of the season and earn Hitter of the Week honors. The 2027 CF was a driving force for Crismon Rattlers all week, stacking impact at the plate and showing up when it mattered most. The swing that ended it will get the headlines, but the full body of work shows a hitter trending in a big way. Luke consistently found barrels across both games, collecting multiple extra base hits while driving in nine runs and scoring five times. There is a real presence in the box with a confident, aggressive approach, pairing strength with feel for the barrel to create loud contact to all fields. The ability to slow the moment down and deliver in a high leverage spot like that speaks to his confidence in the box and the overall offensive upside. Brock earns Pitcher of the Week honors after turning in one of the most impressive outings of the season, shutting down the top ranked team in the state in a complete, controlled performance. The former Future Gamer and current Pitt commit went right at Casteel's lineup, working 5 shutout innings while allowing just four hits, showing the ability to limit damage and keep one of the most dangerous offenses in Arizona off the board. The 2027 LHP continues to trend upward with a highly projectable frame at 6'5, 175 pounds, pairing it with a loose, whippy arm and clean, repeatable delivery. There is clear upside here as he continues to sync the arm, with the foundation of a high level starter already in place. Brock’s ability to execute, compete, and control the game against elite competition stands out, and this performance further cements him as one of the top arms to follow in Arizona’s 2027 class.
