Midlothian vs. Corsicana

Kian Vazquez | 1B/OF | Midlothian | 2028 | LHH
Great build/frame to add strength. Player who has added strength in past year with plenty of room to add more. Solid hit approach, handles bat. Ability to impact baseball will come with strength. Defensively has some versatility. Player to watch develop over next year.

Panther Creek vs. Prosper Richland

Cross Rodriguez | RHP | Panther Creek | 2027
Solid build/frame. Repeats delivery and arm action. Arm speed present. FB 84-88 with carry up, tail to arm side, sink down. CB 71-75 with ability to manipulate action, sweep tp slurvy type. Turnover change. Velocity will increase, developing pitch ability.

Melissa vs. Lovejoy

Finley Wilson | CF/LHP | Melissa | 2028 | 5’8” 150
Athletic, will add strength. 6.9 runner, will be plus runner, see developing into 6.7 or better runner in future. Shows range in OF to gaps with good reads off bat. Bat speed present, shows ability to handle bat.
Feel to pitch, strike thrower on the mound.
2 way player to watch develop. Tools present, 2028 grad who is undersized right now, won’t be a long term issue, will get bigger.

Cam DeFury | MIF | Melissa | 2026 | Paris JC Commit
RHH infielder with actions in the middle. Will have versatility on the infield. Solid hit approach, willing to use all fields at the plate. Moves well on the baseball field. Nice sign for Paris, player who will continue to develop.
Pitched in relief, worked 86-88, arm side life, CB 72-75 with ability to manipulate action.

Lucas Smith | C/1B | Lovejoy | 2027 | Sam Houston State Commit
Great build/frame to add strength. Moves and receives well behind the plate. Has shown ability to handle velo catching, nice pop times to 2nd. Ability to impact baseball present. Will continue to improve. Great sign for SHSU.

SA Sotomayor vs. SA Warren

Noah Vrzal | 1B/RHP | Sotomayor | 2029
This was my first look at the two way talent from San Antonio. The LHH is an imposing figure in the box as well as on the mound. The bat speed is apparent, paired with a swing that works and an approach that projects to hit. He is patient and looking to do damage when he gets his pitch. He hit a towering 3-run homerun in the 6th to give the Wildcats a late lead that they would hold on to and win.

On the mound, Vrzal was up to 91 early and settled 87-90 for the remainder of his 5 innings pitched. The FB has life and spun north of 2500 consistently. Both the CB/SL had quality shape when right. Showed confidence in a quality CH that he kills spin on. He walked 5 but did not lose control, battled and kept everything near the zone.

Jude Patino | INF | Sotomayor | 2026 | Uncommitted
The uncommitted INF had a few solid ABs on the day. In his first AB, he fouled off multiple pitches with 2 strikes and paid it off with an RBI double. In the 6th, he led off the inning when the Wildcats were down and was on base when Vrzal hit the go ahead HR. Some pull side pop with the ability to battle in the box.

Wes Guardiola | SS/RHP | Sotomayor | 2026 | Uncommitted
Guardiola had two knocks out of the leadoff spot and played a solid SS in this look. He showed range and competent arm strength. Nearly made a play to his right where he left his feet, just missing the runner by a half a step at 1st. Mature, gap to gap approach with hard contact. Athletic player that can get out and run.

Kolaiah Staten | INF/RHP | Sotomayor | 2026 | Uncommitted
Nothing to show for at the plate in this look, but the strength in the barrel is present. Aggressive swinger with pull side pop. Got the two inning save on the mound, sitting mid 80’s with the FB, with an effective cutter at 81-82.

Barbers Hill vs. Nederland

Athletic build/frame to add strength. Showed solid foot speed and moves well on the diamond. Really like the way he uses his hands at the plate to turn the barrel out. Showed good plate discipline as well. Solid player and leadoff hitter for Barbers Hill.

Adriano Hayes | 1B/LHP | Barbers Hill | 2026 | Alvin CC Commit
Hayes has a big frame/build with some now strength. Power threat with the bat, but also has the ability to shoot the ball the other way. Moves well around the bag at 1B. Upper 80’s arm on the bump as well. Solid 2 way get for Alvin.

Tayn Edgar | SS | Barbers Hill | 2029
Athletic frame and body that will add strength in the future. Plus defender at SS with range. Plenty of arm to play on the left side. Solid movement patterns at the plate. Bat will continue to improve with maturity. Tons of upside.

Carson Johnson | 3B/RHP | Nederland | 2028
Johnson had a big time week to help Barbers Hill secure a win against Nederland. He hit a 3 run bomb to take the lead late in the game. Closed the game out on the mound sitting 86-88 with FB with solid secondary. Solid defender at 3B. Has a chance to be a 2 way player at the next level. Hit approach will continue to improve with experience.

Slade Sheppard | RHP | Nederland | 2026 | Angelina Commit
Committed to Angelina this past week. Solid RHP with some weapons. FB sat 88-89 and T90. CH has some splitter type movement to it at 80-83. SL also sat 80-83 and had sharp and late break. SL is his out pitch. Stuff will continue to improve. Angelina will not be his last stop in his baseball career.

Cy Woods vs. Cy Ranch

Ross Sullivan | SS | Cy Woods | 2026 | Angelina Commit
A multi-hit game on Friday with 3 base hits. Always seems to put together quality AB’s. “Hits for AVG” type guy with some doubles pop. Consistent presence in the lineup. Versatile defender on the dirt, could see him playing SS, 3B or 2B with no problems. Steady player.

Dylan Mercado | 3B/RHP | Cy Woods | 2029
Mercado consistently gets hits every time we see him. 2-4 on Friday with a 2B and a RBI. Will continue to mature at the plate with experience. Equally impressive at 3B. Made some big time plays that really showcased his athleticism. Future is bright for Dylan.

Caleb Kahoalii | RHP | Cy Woods | 2029
Threw a complete game shutout against their cross town rival. FB sat 85-88, CB sat 77-79 and CH sat 77-81. Really liked his ability to move the FB around, changing locations and eye level. CB is a decent pitch and will continue to sharpen. CH is a plus pitch now. Solid composure on the mound.

Alex Hernandez | SS | Cy Ranch | 2027 | Uncommitted
Hernandez plays SS and hits 3-hole (LHH) for Cy Ranch. Feet work well in the INF with a solid arm. Showed some feel and instincts for the position. Gap-to-gap style hitter at the plate with some pull-side pop. He will continue to develop and add strength over the next year.

Mario Salcido | OF | Cy Ranch | 2026 | North Lake Commit
Salcido showed some gamesmanship this week on both sides of the ball. He put together quality AB’s which included driving a 2B to the RF wall. Made a baseball-savvy back pick throw behind a hard turning runner at 1B. Showed some range in RF going a long way to get a ball down the line. Plus arm from the left side. Gamer.

Parker Legh-Page | RHP/INF | Cy Ranch | 2028
Solid build/frame athlete who will continue to add size and strength. Athletic on all sides of the ball. FB sat 87-90 T91. CB sat 70-72. Repeatable delivery and strike thrower with both pitches. Will continue to learn how to use his stuff as he matures. Big upside player.
