2026 OSSAA Power 25: Week Six

Bret Schwartz
Oklahoma Scouting Director

We update the Power 25 with a big week of games ahead of us. The next few weeks will give us clarity on district standings and the opportunity to hose in the postseason.  This update features a few small changes due to results on the field as well as still some projection with the talent on the field. Further, we see some teams continuing to get healthy with optimism in the upcoming weeks. All scores and records are from the OSSAA Rankings page or Gamechanger.

Tuttle remains at #1 after a 3-1 week that included a district sweep, a comeback victory over a talented Berryhill team, and the only blemish being to OCS. OCS continued to play more consistently as the season goes and have the look of a team that will have an opportunity to make some noise in the 3A State Tournament. At #2, Edmond Memorial completed a massive district sweep over Edmond Santa Fe that puts them into a commanding position in 6A-1 and sets up a showdown with Yukon this week - each sit at 6-0 in district play. Newcastle remains at #3 following a 4-0 week that included a win over Top 20 Piedmont. Newcastle continues to find ways to win, whether it be a close game like the 3-2 win over Piedmont or a high scoring game with the offense to score in a hurry. Stillwater remains at #4 with a district sweep of Norman North that included a pair of run rules. The Pioneers have a mix of youth and experience littered throughout their lineup and only continue to get better as the youth continue to develop. Rounding out our top 5 is Choctaw, following a 4-0 week that saw them improve to 14-2 on the season. They have shown the ability to score runs in bunches, against talented arms as well, and have had numerous players step up on the mound to give them an opportunity to win each time out.

Jenks is amongst our biggest risers as they move up to #12 following a 3-1 week that saw them improve to 14-3 on the season. Following a split with Broken Arrow on Monday/Tuesday, the Trojans added wins over Edmond North and Coweta. They have a consistently pitched, played defense, and executed at a high level throughout the year. Obviously, a winning formula throughout the season at 14-3, but Jenks is on the shortlist of teams you don't want to see in regional play with those traits. Breaking into our Power 25 is Okarche, the Fall A State Champions that have shown to still be amongst the favorites for the spring title. Led by a group of seniors, they are one of the tougher lineups to work through multiple times in the state and have talented underclassmen that only continue to develop. The Warriors break into our Power 25 following a 4-0 week and win over Silo as they improved to 11-2 on the season.
