Iowa JUCO baseball is in full swing and, here at Prep Baseball Iowa, we wanted to provide a check-in on the scores from across the Iowa JUCO landscape over the first week of gameplay.

Within these weekly pieces, you will be able to find all the JUCO scores from across the state, as well as other news and notes across the state's JUCO landscape.

News & Notes

+ Southeastern goes 6-1 on the week with a win over Heartland (IL), a sweep over Marshalltown, and a series win over Indian Hills. Sitting at the top of the DII conference, 12-1, 31-9 overall. 

+ Iowa Central goes 5-2, sitting 10-3 in conference, 32-6 overall. 

+ Northeast sweeps Kirkwood, going 3-3 on the week with a sweep over Kirkwood. 8-5 in conference, 25-17 overall. 

+ DMACC goes 6-0 on the week, finishing the sweep over Northeast Iowa, Ellsworth, and NIACC. 

+ Iowa Western goes 4-1 on the week, sweeping Indian Hills and taking a series over Iowa Central. At the top of the D1 standings, 5-1 in conference, 29-9 overall. 

+ George McIntyre added two more to his conference-leading 19 homeruns, now slashing .500/.620/1.037, with a 1.657 OPS, 15 doubles, and 61 RBIs. 

+ DMACC's Drew Owen continues to swing one of the conference's hottest bats, going 15-for-23 with five doubles, two home runs, and 13 RBIs. 

+ Iowa Central's Sawyer Steinwent 9-for-18, with two home runs, two doubles, and 13 RBIs. 

+ Brock Moore continues to perform for DMACC, going 11-for-20, with three home runs, one double, and 15 RBIs. 

+ Kirkwood's Brady Blake showed the power this week, sending four over the wall, going 10-for-21, two doubles, 12 RBIs, and seven walks. 

+ Southeastern's Gavin Awbrey went 10-for-21, with three home runs, three doubles, and nine RBIs. 

+ Northeast's Giuseppe Salvatore went 11-for-23, with one home run, one triple, one double, and seven RBIs. 

+ Justin Rompre continues to be one of the most feared bats, going 7-for-14, with five home runs, one double, and 18 RBIs. 

+ Indian Hills Gage Perri had a big week, going 9-for-24, with two home runs, a double, and nine RBIs. 

+ Iowa Western's Nolan Geislinger went 8-for-19, one home run, three doubles, and six RBIs. 

+ RHP Andrew Paulson for Iowa Western tossed five innings of one-run ball, striking out eight, walking two, and allowing four hits against Iowa Central. 

+ Kirkwoods, RHP Adrian Broadus tossed six innings, allowing one run, on three hits, one walk, striking out ten. 

+ North Iowa Area RHP Matt Milke tossed five innings, allowing one run, three hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts. 

+ RHP Andrew Paulson tossed five innings for Iowa Western, allowing four hits, one run, two walks, striking out eight. 

+ DMACC's LHP Gage Miller tossed five innings, allowing four runs, striking out nine, and walking one.
