IHSA Diamond Notes: Week 4
April 15, 2026

Each week, IHSA coaches around the state submit to us their nominations for the Prep Baseball Illinois Player of the Week and Prep Baseball Illinois Pitcher of the Week honors. Yesterday, we awarded the Week 4 Player of the Week honor to C Tristan Steger (St. Laurence, 2027; Kentucky) and the Pitcher of the Week honor to LHP Callum Morrison (Lake Forest, 2026). Steger went 10-for-13 on the week with four home runs, a double, 12 RBI, 10 runs scored and three walks. Morrison tossed a no-hitter against Warren, striking out 14 while walking five without allowing a hit or a run.
