This week’s offensive Player of the Week award belongs to 2026 RHP/1B Noah Spalding of Marion County High School. The senior two-way spearheaded an incredible week for the Knights as the offense erupted across four games, outscoring opponents by a staggering 54-1 margin. Spalding was at the center of it all, turning in a near-perfect week at the plate by going 7-for-8 (.875) with 8 runs scored and 11 RBI. He piled up 18 total bases with six extra-base hits, including three doubles, a triple, and two home runs. Despite being limited to 8 ABs, the 6’4” 250-pound righty made his presence known when he got the chance. Spalding drew four walks, three of them intentional, and added two hit-by-pitches. In his 14 plate appearances, Spalding reached base 13 times, good for an absurd .929 on-base percentage. The only time he was retired all week came on a sacrifice fly in the first inning against Fort Knox, highlighting a nightmare offensive showing for opposing arms. On the season, Spalding continues to lead the Marion County offense, hitting .571 with 16 hits, 25 runs scored, 23 RBI, and 12 extra-base hits including six home runs. He’s also added 17 walks and 13 stolen bases, showcasing the combination of physical strength and athleticism. The University of Louisville commit also made a case for Pitcher of the Week, firing 6.0 scoreless innings with 17 strikeouts in a start against Washington County. Ranked as the #2 RHP and #4 overall prospect in Kentucky’s 2026 class, Spalding continues to prove why he’s one of the premier two-way talents in the state. All eyes will be on Thursday’s marquee matchup as Marion County hosts #18 Taylor County in a showdown featuring Spalding and fellow ace Cole McLean, two top-5 prospects in the 2026 class. Congratulations to Noah Spalding on being named the Prep Baseball KY Player of the Week!
