NOTABLE RECAPS FROM MONDAY

#16 Ridgeline (12) vs. #12 Mountain Crest (5)

The Ridgeline Riverhawks delivered a statement victory on their home turf, cruising to a 12–5 win over a formidable Mountain Crest squad after erupting for 11 runs in the first two innings. Cooper Clark was the primary engine for the Riverhawks' offense, launching two triples and reaching base in all five of his plate appearances to finish with two RBIs and two runs scored. Easton Hammond and Nate Dahle provided the heavy lifting in the middle of the order, combining for four RBIs and two doubles to keep the Mustangs' pitching staff on their heels. On the mound, Lincoln Jackson navigated 11 hits across six innings of work to earn the win, relying on a focused defensive effort to limit the damage to just two earned runs. While Mountain Crest attempted a late comeback sparked by a 3-for-4 afternoon from Ben Welch and a dominant relief appearance by Kellen Smith, the early double-digit deficit proved insurmountable as Ridgeline extended their home winning streak.

Top Performers

Juab (2) vs. Carbon (1)

In a "don't-blink" display of pitching efficiency, the Juab Wasps edged out the Carbon Dinos in a 2–1 thriller that belonged entirely to the two starting hurlers. Corbin Buchanan was the anchor for Juab, navigating seven full innings and surrendering just one run while fanning five to earn the complete-game victory. Carbon’s Robert Nichols matched him nearly pitch-for-pitch, tossing a six-hit complete game of his own without issuing a single walk, but was saddled with the tough-luck loss as the Dinos’ offense struggled to find the deciding blow. Juab capitalized on a perfect 2-for-2 afternoon from Kaeden Christensen and a timely double from Traedun Osborne to manufacture just enough run support. Despite the Dinos finding late life through Logan Bennett’s double and an RBI from Maddux Willson, Buchanan’s poise in the final frame ensured the Wasps escaped with the gritty non-region win.

Top Performers

Park City (2) vs. Highland (1)

The Park City Miners leaned on a masterclass from Alex Brannigan to survive a tense 2–1 pitching duel against the Highland Rams. Brannigan was electric on the hill, racking up nine strikeouts and surrendering only two hits over six frames of work to keep the Highland lineup off-balance all afternoon. While offense was hard to come by for both sides, Karsten Blum provided the decisive blow for the Miners, driving in both of their runs to back his starter’s gem. Highland’s Matt Fotheringham turned in a valiant effort of his own, fanning seven and allowing just two runs, but the Rams’ bats were largely silenced by the Park City staff. Joey Breza stepped in for the final frame to secure the save, sealing the narrow region 10 victory and highlighting the Miners' defensive grit in a low-scoring thriller.
