Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Hitter of the Week is '26 Zadek Bowlby (Newberg).

OREGON HITTER OF THE WEEK (4/13-4/19)

Zadek Bowlby 1B / LHP / Newberg Senior High School, OR / 2026 The senior had a big offensive week, batting .500 with 4 XBH to win Oregon HOTW honors. Bowlby slugged 2 home runs and 2 doubles, scoring 2 runs and logging 6 RBI overall. The multi-sport athlete has been a force in the middle of the Newberg lineup this spring.
