Private school powerhouses, under-the-radar contenders, and a handful of teams capable of making noise on any given day make this one of the more intriguing fields in the entire state tournament. Region 1

#1 Trinity Christian Academy vs. #8 Florida State University School TCA enters the postseason as one of the premier programs in 2A and gets a manageable first-round draw. The Conquerors get the job done and advance.

#4 Trinity Catholic vs. #5 Bozeman Trinity Catholic edges out Bozeman in what figures to be one of the more competitive games in Region 1. The Celtics advance and earn a date with the top seed.

Regional Semifinal: TCA over Trinity Catholic TCA is a program with the kind of pitching depth and lineup experience that makes them a nightmare matchup for anyone in this classification. The Conquerors move on.

#2 Bishop Snyder vs. #7 Providence Bishop Snyder is among the more well-rounded programs in North Florida's 2A landscape. The Cardinals advance.

#3 Bolles vs. #6 Pensacola Catholic Bolles has been one of the steadier teams in Region 1 all season and gets the job done here. Pensacola Catholic competes but can't match Bolles' overall depth. The Bulldogs move on.

Regional Semifinal: Bishop Snyder over Bolles A quality North Florida matchup between two programs that have earned their seeds. Bishop Snyder's overall talent gives them the edge when this one tightens up late, and the Cardinals advance to the regional final with a statement win.

Regional Final: TCA over Bishop Snyder Two of the better programs in Region 1 meet again with a trip to the state semifinal on the line. Bishop Snyder has the talent to make this competitive, but TCA's program pedigree and postseason experience prove to be the difference when the series is on the line. #1 Lakeland Christian vs. #8 The Master’s Academy Lakeland Christian is the top seed in Region 2 for good reason. The Vikings advance.

#4 Cocoa Beach vs. #5 Lake Highland Prep Cocoa Beach gets the edge in a first-round matchup that figures to be tighter than the seeding suggests. Cocoa Beach advances.

Regional Semifinal: Lakeland Christian over Cocoa Beach Lakeland Christian has too much across the board for Cocoa Beach to handle. The Vikings' pitching staff shuts the door and they move on to the regional final looking sharp.

#2 The First Academy vs. #7 Santa Fe Catholic TFA has been quietly building toward a postseason run all season. The Lions advance and set their sights on a deeper run.

#3 Montverde Academy vs. #6 Foundation Academy Montverde has a more complete body of work heading into this matchup. They take care of Foundation and advance.

Regional Semifinal: TFA over Montverde The First Academy's pitching depth and overall balance give them the edge in what projects to be one of the better series. TFA grinds this one out and earns the right to face Lakeland Christian.

Regional Final: TFA over Lakeland Christian Lakeland Christian has been the top seed season and arrives as the favorite, but TFA has been playing their best baseball at exactly the right time. The Royals’' pitching staff has the ability to neutralize any offense in this classification, and when games tighten up, their lineup has proven capable of delivering. TFA pulls off the upset and marches into the state semifinal with all the momentum in the world.

Region 3

#1 Berkeley Prep vs. #8 First Baptist Academy Berkeley Prep is one of the most complete programs in 2A and one of the legitimate state title contenders in this bracket. The Buccaneers take care of business and move on.

#4 Clearwater Central Catholic vs. #5 Community School of Naples Clearwater Central Catholic gets the nod here. They've been the more consistent team when the competition stiffened up, and their pitching gives them a meaningful advantage. CCC advances.

Regional Semifinal: Berkeley Prep over Clearwater Central Catholic The Buccaneers look sharp, their rotation is lined up, and they head into the regional final.

#2 Tampa Catholic vs. #7 Tampa Prep Tampa Catholic has been one of the steadier programs in the Tampa Bay area all season and handles Tampa Prep. The Crusaders advance.

#3 Cardinal Mooney vs. #6 Bishop McLaughlin Cardinal Mooney has the deeper résumé and takes care of Bishop McLaughlin in a first-round matchup. The Cardinals move on.

Regional Semifinal: Tampa Catholic over Cardinal Mooney Tampa Catholic's overall quality and postseason experience give them the edge in a competitive regional semifinal. The Crusaders advance to face Berkeley Prep with something to prove.

#4 Palmer Trinity vs. #5 Westminster Christian Westminster Christian pulls off the first-round upset here. They've been one of the more dangerous lower seeds in Region 4 all season. Westminster Christian advances.

Regional Semifinal: True North over Westminster Christian True North is a program with the kind of pitching-first identity that makes them a tough out in any series. Westminster Christian's upset run comes to an end here, and the Titans move on to the regional final.

#2 St. John Paul II vs. #7 Florida Christian St. John Paul II handles their first-round business efficiently and advances to set up what figures to be a compelling regional semifinal. The Eagles move on.

#3 Chaminade-Madonna vs. #6 NSU University Chaminade-Madonna has been one of the more complete teams in South Florida all season and takes care of NSU University here. The Lions advance with momentum on their side.

Regional Semifinal: Chaminade-Madonna over St. John Paul II Chaminade’s overall talent and the way their lineup is built for tournament baseball gives them the edge in a high-quality South Florida matchup. The Lions advance to the regional final.

Chaminade has the talent to make this a fight, but True North's pitching depth and ability to win in tight games proves to be the deciding factor. Trinity Christian Academy vs. The First Academy Two programs that know each other well and have the talent to go blow for blow meet in a state semifinal that figures to be one of the best games of the entire postseason. State Championship Prediction: Trinity Christian Academy over Berkeley Prep

TCA has been the most complete program in 2A all season. Their pitching staff is as deep as any in the classification, and their lineup has the kind of top-to-bottom balance that wears opponents down over seven innings.

Berkeley Prep is no easy out. The Buccaneers have the talent and the program culture to compete on this stage. But Trinity Christian has been pointed toward this moment since the first week of the season, and nothing about their body of work suggests they'll come up short now.
