The 3A classification is where sleepers become legends and upsets become storylines that people talk about for years. This bracket has the right mix of established programs and dangerous challengers to deliver exactly that. Here's how we see the 3A postseason unfolding.

Region 1

#1 South Walton vs. #8 Wolfson South Walton is the best team in Region 1 and has the kind of all-around game that makes them a genuine state title threat. The Seahawks get the win they need and turn their focus to what's ahead.

#4 West Florida vs. #5 Baldwin Baldwin pulls off the mild first-round upset here. They've been one of the more dangerous lower seeds in the region, and West Florida hasn't been convincing enough down the stretch to hold them off. Baldwin moves on.

Regional Semifinal: South Walton over Baldwin Baldwin's upset run hits a wall against the region's top seed. South Walton is a different kind of challenge, and a program that has been pointed toward this moment all season. The Seahawks take care of business and advance.

#2 Fernandina Beach vs. #7 Bay Fernandina Beach is among the more well-rounded programs in Region 1 and handles Bay with the kind of efficiency you'd expect from a #2 seed. The Pirates move on.

#3 Suwannee vs. #6 West Nassau Suwannee is a program that knows how to win in the postseason, and they get things started the right way here. West Nassau battles, but Suwannee's experience in close games proves decisive. The Bulldogs advance.

Regional Semifinal: Suwannee over Fernandina Beach This is the series of Region 1. Suwannee has been building toward a postseason run all year, and Fernandina Beach, despite the higher seed, hasn't been bulletproof. The Bulldogs grind this one out and punch through to the regional final.

Regional Final: South Walton over Suwannee Suwannee's run is a great story, but South Walton is where it ends. The Seahawks' pitching depth and lineup quality are simply too much to overcome, and they close this one out the way you'd expect a state title contender to. South Walton heads to the state semifinal.

Region 2

#1 North Marion vs. #8 Titusville North Marion has been one of the steadiest programs in Central Florida all season and doesn't waste any time getting their postseason started. The Colts advance.

#4 South Sumter vs. #5 Palatka South Sumter gets the edge in a competitive first-round matchup. They find a way to grind out a win when it matters. South Sumter moves on.

Regional Semifinal: North Marion over South Sumter South Sumter competes, but the Colts' overall depth proves to be the difference. North Marion advances.

#2 Nature Coast Tech vs. #7 The Villages Nature Coast has been one of the more quietly impressive programs in Region 2 all year. The Sharks move on.

#3 Hernando vs. #6 Umatilla Hernando has the better roster top to bottom and takes care of Umatilla. The Leopards advance.

Regional Semifinal: Nature Coast Tech over Hernando Nature Coast’s pitching staff gives them a meaningful edge in this one. Hernando will make it interesting, but the Sharks have too much on the mound to let this game slip away. Nature Coast advances to the regional final.

Regional Final: North Marion over Nature Coast Tech Two of the better programs in Central Florida's 3A landscape meet in a regional final that figures to be tightly contested. North Marion's overall balance, solid pitching, a lineup that can manufacture runs, and the experience to handle pressure, gives them just enough of an edge. The Colts advance to the state semifinal and bring a chip on their shoulder into that matchup.

Region 3

#1 Calvary Christian vs. #8 Dunedin Calvary Christian is one of the premier programs in 3A and comes in with the kind of roster that can make a legitimate run at a state title. Calvary Christian wins.

#4 Jefferson vs. #5 Aubrey Rogers Jefferson gets the nod here in a competitive first-round matchup. Their pitching lines up well and their lineup has shown the ability to put up runs against quality arms. Jefferson advances.

Regional Semifinal: Calvary Christian over Jefferson Calvary Christian is a cut above everyone else in the top half of Region 3. Jefferson competes, but the Eagles move on into the regional final.

#2 North Broward Prep vs. #7 Coral Springs Charter North Broward Prep handles their first-round business. The Eagles advance and set up what figures to be a compelling regional semifinal.

#3 Bishop Verot vs. #6 McKeel Academy Bishop Verot is a program that has quietly been one of the most dangerous teams in 3A all season. They handle McKeel Academy and arrive at the regional semifinal with momentum on their side.

Regional Semifinal: Bishop Verot over North Broward Prep Bishop Verot has been building toward a moment like this. Their pitching staff is as good as anyone in Region 3. The Vikings pull off the upset and earn the right to chase down Calvary Christian.

Regional Final: Bishop Verot over Calvary Christian This is the biggest upset call in the entire 3A bracket, and it's one we feel good about. Calvary Christian is the more decorated program and arrives as the favorite, but Bishop Verot has the pitching to keep any offense in check and the lineup to capitalize on mistakes. In a short series, one dominant pitching performance can flip the entire script, and Bishop Verot has the arms to deliver exactly that. The Vikings advance to the state semifinals.

Region 4

#1 St. Brendan vs. #8 Miami Springs St. Brendan is a program built for the postseason, and they come out sharp in the first round. The Sabres advance and get ready for what's ahead.

#4 iMater Charter vs. #5 Sunset Sunset pulls off the first-round upset here. They've had the kind of late-season form that makes them a genuine threat as a lower seed. Sunset advances.

Regional Semifinal: St. Brendan over Sunset Sunset's run is impressive, but St. Brendan is a different level of competition. The Sabres' pitching depth and lineup experience allow them to move on with confidence.

#2 Monsignor Pace vs. #7 Cardinal Gibbons Monsignor Pace comes out on top in a close battle.

#3 Gulliver Prep vs. #6 Killian Gulliver Prep has the better roster and a more impressive body of work heading into this first-round matchup. They handle Killian and advance to set up a compelling regional semifinal.

Regional Semifinal: Gulliver Prep over Monsignor Pace Gulliver Prep's overall quality gives them the edge in what projects to be one of the better series in Region 4. The Raiders grind this one out and advance to face St. Brendan.

Regional Final: St. Brendan over Gulliver Prep St. Brendan has been the best team in Region 4 all season and backs that up when it counts most. Gulliver Prep has earned their way to this point and won't back down, but the Sabres' pitching staff and lineup depth present a challenge that the Raiders ultimately can't solve. St. Brendan advances to the state semifinal.

State Semifinals

South Walton vs. North Marion South Walton has been one of the most complete teams in 3A from the opening week of the season to now, and that doesn't change here. North Marion is a tough out and has proven they can compete with quality programs, but the Seahawks have a different gear that not many teams in this classification can match. South Walton advances to the state championship.

Bishop Verot vs. St. Brendan Two programs with serious pedigree collide in what could be the best game of the 3A semifinals. This one comes down to pitching, and Bishop Verot's staff has been too good to bet against. The Vikings advance to the state championship.

State Championship Prediction: South Walton over Bishop Verot

The Seahawks have been the most well-rounded program in 3A all season and have handled every challenge put in front of them with the kind of consistency that separates good teams from great ones. Their pitching staff doesn't give innings away, their lineup can score in multiple ways, and they've played their best baseball when the stakes were highest.

Bishop Verot has been the story of this bracket, knocking off Calvary Christian and battling through a tough Region 3 to reach this stage. They deserve every bit of credit for the run they've put together. But South Walton is operating on a different level, and the state championship stage is where that becomes undeniable.

South Walton wins the 2026 FHSAA 3A State Championship.
