2027 Colorado Class Rankings: Spring Update

Caleb Dameron
Prep Baseball Colorado Staff

The Colorado 2027 class spring update consists of 190 top players within the state. This group of players include flourishing Future Gamers at the top, high-end uncommitted names, and actively developing athletes on both sides of the ball worth following. When creating our rankings, we consider various factors, such as skills, physical abilities, potential, projection, and on-field performance as well.

TOP UNCOMMITTED:

Michael (Mikey) Kroll RHP / 1B / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2027

Jack Sansone RHP / OF / Roosevelt, CO / 2027

Sam Skubic C / 1B / Boulder, CO / 2027

Skubic has made a notable jump over the past year and is putting up strong offensive numbers as an everyday catcher. Across 66 plate appearances at the 5A level in Colorado, he’s currently hitting .446 with 4 home runs, 8 doubles, 2 triples, and a 1.405 OPS. His present strength and size also stand out behind the dish, and he’s worth a close follow as the bat continues to evolve.

JC Smith OF / C / Broomfield, CO / 2027

Tristan Mullis SS / 2B / Pine Creek, CO / 2027

Mullis is putting up some of the best numbers in Colorado at the 5A level, hitting .587 with 5 home runs, 10 doubles, 2 triples, 12 stolen bases, and a 1.706 OPS through 76 plate appearances. He also hasn’t swung and missed much in 2026, posting just an 8% strikeout rate as a left-handed hitter with both plate discipline and pop. Mullis consistently produces hard contact in games, and his developing athleticism projects well at the next level as he also has the ability to play up the middle in the infield defensively.

Brody Logan OF / RHP / Chatfield, CO / 2027

Brady Wright SS / RHP / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2027

Landry Warner RHP / Lutheran, CO / 2027

Warner is one of the hottest arms in the state, stringing together a handful of quality starts and running his totals up to 54 strikeouts in 33 innings with just 9 walks. The long-levered right-hander features a fastball in the upper 80s and shows strong feel for both his slider and curveball. At 6'2" with a wiry frame, Warner projects for added strength and velocity moving forward, making him a close follow in this class.

BIG RISERS:

Jake Watts RHP / Ralston Valley, CO / 2027

Watts has surged up to #2 in the rankings after running his fastball up to 92 mph this preseason and carrying that momentum into the spring. He’s now struck out an impressive 50 hitters in just 21.2 innings while allowing only 10 total hits. The Future Games alum stands out for his spin and feel for the swing and miss slider, but his developing velocity out of a whippy, lean frame continues to add to his upside as he matures physically.

Bret Baldwin SS / RHP / Ralston Valley, CO / 2027

Baldwin has done nothing but rake this spring while also taking a step forward defensively at shortstop. Our scouting staff was on hand earlier this season when he made several standout plays in an extra-inning win for the Mustangs, also highlighted by a home run at the plate. The former Future Gamer is hitting .448 with 6 home runs, 6 doubles, 8 stolen bases, and a 1.345 OPS across 63 plate appearances at the 5A level. The shortstop has gotten more athletic and stronger since the last time we saw him, while his twitch and feel on both sides of the baseball stand out. Baldwin is tooled up and headed to the University of Washington to continue his baseball career, and also could continue to be a riser up these rankings.

Boston Coslett 1B / OF / Erie, CO / 2027

Derek Graham LHP / 1B / Doherty, CO / 2027

JR Ramsey 1B / 3B / Broomfield, CO / 2027

Johnny Komarowsky 3B / 2B / Denver South, CO / 2027

Komarowsky is a two-way standout for Denver South who has been trending up this spring. The uncommitted junior provides some easy strength and has now hit for a .522 average with 2 homers, 4 doubles, and a 1.543 OPS across his first 29 plate appearances. Last week, Komarowsky also fired a 7-inning no-hitter on the mound against Littleton to put his numbers up to 32 Ks across 27.2 innings.

Eli Murphy SS / 2B / Rocky Mountain, CO / 2027

Tyler Johnson 1B / OF / Grand Junction, CO / 2027

Austin Mireiter RHP / C / Holy Family, CO / 2027
