HITTER OF THE WEEK

Cooper Hawkes SS / 3B / Timpanogos, UT / 2026

Cooper Hawkes put on an impressive offensive display this week, serving as the undisputed engine for a Timpanogos offense that took two out of three in a high-stakes series against Orem to claim the Region 8 Championship. Hawkes was nearly impossible to retire, racking up six hits—half of which went for extra bases—and driving in nine runs over the three-game stretch. His dominance was headlined by back-to-back games with home runs, including a monster five-RBI performance in the series opener to set the tone. Finishing the week with a .600 average and a staggering 2.014 OPS, Hawkes consistently found barrels and showed elite composure in the box, solidifying his status as one of the premier leadoff threats in any classification.

Highlights: 3 GP / 10 AB / 6 H / 2 HR / 1 2B / 9 RBI / 3 R / .600 AVG / 2.014 OPS

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Kavyn Carter RHP / OF / Maple Mountain, UT / 2027

COMPLETE GAME NO HITTER🚨 Kavyn Carter turned in a masterful, career-defining performance on the mound this week, delivering his signature "ace" outing to lead Maple Mountain to a crucial victory over Springville. The junior right-hander was absolutely untouchable from the first pitch, etching his name into the record books with a clinical no-hit shutout. Carter’s command was on full display as he racked up a career-high 11 strikeouts over seven innings of work, surrendering only a single walk while consistently working ahead in the count. His ability to keep a potent Red Devils lineup completely off-balance provided the shutdown dominance needed to anchor the Eagles' rotation and continue to solidify his status as one of the premier arms in the 5A classification.

Highlights: 7.0 IP / 11 K / 1 BB / 0 H / 0 R (W)
