2026 MSHSAA Team Rankings: Week 7
May 4, 2026
The Missouri high school baseball kicks off on March 19th, opening day for regular season action under MSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we published our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Missouri Preseason Team Rankings.
Our rankings are broken up into two divisions: large school and small schools. We classify the 'large' schools as those residing in Class 5 & 6, while the small schools make up the remaining MSHSAA classifications. We rank what we believe to be the top teams in the state at that level, as well as highlighting several 'On Deck' teams.
Below you will find our week five team rankings for the 2026 season for Large Schools and Small Schools.

2026 Prep Baseball Missouri Large School Rankings - Week 7
This week’s update features significant shuffling among our Large Schools, including a new program atop the rankings for the first time this season.
Liberty North has officially taken over the No. 1 spot, fueled by a six-game winning streak that included a resounding road win over previous No. 1 Blue Springs South and two victories over ranked Kansas opponents at the River City Festival. Consequently, Liberty remains at No. 2, Nixa slides up to No. 3, and Blue Springs South falls to No. 4.
In the middle of the rankings, Jackson and St. John Vianney each climb one spot as Francis Howell drops to No. 14 following a 2-3 week. Eureka emerged as one of the week’s biggest winners; after a perfect 3-0 stretch with ranked wins over Marquette (twice) and Vianney, the Wildcats jumped to No. 9. Right behind them, Staley continues its torrid pace, extending its winning streak to 13 games with another ranked victory over Rock Bridge to round out the top ten.
Webb City also continues to be one of the hottest teams in the state, moving up to No. 11 after winning their ninth straight, highlighted by a victory over No. 5 Willard. Meanwhile, Rock Bridge, Marquette, and Howell all saw their positions drop following a series of tough matchups.

2026 Prep Baseball Missouri Small School Rankings - Week 7
Despite suffering their first loss in 22 games, Logan-Rogersville holds onto the top spot in our Small School Rankings. The Wildcats' body of work remains one of the most impressive in the state.
Harrisonville slides up to No. 2 after both Fair Grove and Excelsior Springs dropped games over the past week. The Wildcats are one of the hottest teams in the state, having rattled off 13 consecutive wins, including a dominant stretch where they have posted shutouts in four of their last five outings.
The bottom half of the rankings remains mostly steady, with only one minor shift: Moberly drops to No. 10 after a tough loss to Hannibal earlier last week.
