Welcome to Prep Baseball Hawaii’s 2026 High School Playoff Coverage. As the postseason wraps up across the Islands, we will be highlighting league champions, key playoff runs, and standout performances from players across the state as the State Championship kicks off.

BIIF D1 CHAMPION: WAIAKEA

The Waiakea Warriors are your 2026 BIIF Division I champions, finishing off an unbeaten postseason with a 6-2 win over KS-Hawaii in the title game at Wong Stadium on April 29th.

Waiakea ran through the BIIF Division I bracket unbeaten, finishing with a 6-2 win over KS-Hawaii at Wong Stadium to cap the postseason.

The Warriors' lineup produced. Logen Doran, Tycen Baruela, Hurley Soong, Jesse Inouye, Jerrell Alston, Axel Akau, as well as many others were all contributors. That group put together 21 runs across the playoffs and has the capability to make a deep run in the state tournament.

On the mound, they matched it. Arkansas recruit Logen Doran and Jessup recruit Hurley Soong have both worked strong seasons on the mound for the Warriors, posting sub 1.00 ERAs. Waiakea heads into states off a clean postseason, with the position players and arms to compete.

With some of the top talent not only in Hawaii, but in the country, Waiakea will be a tough team to beat in the State Tournament.
