The Murray Spartans arrive at the regional round as a resilient group that has proven they can put up explosive offensive numbers at times, scoring 7 or more runs in 8 games this season. The Spartans' strength lies in their veteran leadership, specifically the powerhouse production of senior Brody Sofonia, who leads the team in batting average (.354), on-base percentage (.442), and home runs (5).
(23) Highland @ (10) Orem
The Orem Tigers enter the 4A state tournament with a palpable sense of optimism, fueled by a collective offensive identity that has made them one of the more dangerous lineups in the bracket. This team prides itself on a high-pressure approach at the plate, a strategy that helped them secure a strong 15-10 record and a dominant late-season stretch where they won 11 of 12 games. A major pillar of this team-wide confidence is the presence of elite two-way talent like junior Chase Ford, who perfectly captures the Tigers' explosive nature; he leads the charge with a .506 batting average and a massive .894 slugging percentage, including 7 home runs and 33 RBIs. However, Orem’s championship aspirations are equally grounded in their reliable depth on the mound. With sophomore Beckett Hendry anchoring the staff with a 2.04 ERA and "strikeout stuff" that can keep them in any game, the Tigers have the right blend of power and pitching if they play to their potential to carry them all the way to Gates Field.
The Highland Rams head into the 4A playoffs as a gritty, battle-tested squad from Region 10 that has built a resilient team identity centered around elite plate discipline and the ability to win tight, high-stakes games at times. This is a team that thrives on manufacturing runs by forcing the issue at the plate, evidenced by the staggering on-base percentages of junior Taylor Saunders (.612) and sophomore James Gordon (.543), who ensure the Rams almost always have traffic on the basepaths.
(22) East @ (11) Pine View
The Pine View Panthers enter the regional round as a battle-tested unit from the highly competitive Southern Utah region, bringing a surge of late-season energy following a dramatic 8-6 walk-off win over Crimson Cliffs just this week on their Senior Night. Their championship aspirations are further solidified by senior ace Tristen Sylvester, whose sharp 2.40 ERA and veteran poise reflect the kind of high-caliber pitching depth required to navigate a deep playoff run. By combining this mound dominance with clutch hitting from players like Raiden Hunt, Pine View possesses the veteran composure and home-field power necessary to dictate the pace of this series and advance.
The East Leopards arrive at the postseason as a resilient squad that has consistently found ways to win high-scoring, pressure-packed games, including hard-fought recent victories over Highland and Cottonwood. The Leopards' path to an upset lies in their ability to consistently create traffic on the basepaths, fueled by senior catcher Elias Larson’s massive .568 on-base percentage and the heavy hitting of Zach Medrano. If East can maintain this high-efficiency hitting and capitalize on small-ball opportunities, they have the offensive ceiling necessary to challenge any rotation and pull off a signature postseason victory.
(21) Sky View @ (12) Green Canyon
The Green Canyon Wolves enter the 2026 postseason as one of the most balanced teams in the bracket, boasting a strong 15-7 record and an offense that has averaged over eight runs per game. The Wolves' optimism is anchored by their ability to produce consistently through the lineup, led by the reliable bat of Estrada, who carried a sharp .373 batting average during the regular season. Their championship aspirations are further supported by the versatile play of Hoffman, a multi-positional threat whose ability to contribute on the mound and in the outfield gives the Wolves the tactical flexibility needed for a deep playoff run. With a team identity built on high-efficiency scoring and a collective "refuse to lose" mentality, Green Canyon looks to utilize its home-field advantage to set a dominant tone early in the series.
The Sky View Bobcats arrive at the regional round as a battle-tested group that has spent the season competing in a grueling region, developing a gritty defensive identity that makes them a potentially dangerous postseason opponent. They are complemented by the dynamic play of junior Rad Sparrow, a standout shortstop and pitcher who provides the spark for the Bobcats' defense and aggressive baserunning strategy. If Sky View can lean into their senior leadership and execute their fundamental first approach, they have the veteran composure and defensive discipline required to neutralize the Wolves' power and secure a postseason upset victory over this familiar Region 11 opponent.
(20) Park City @ (13) Cedar
The Cedar Reds head into the 4A playoffs with a deep roster of veteran leaders who have proven they can compete with the state's best programs throughout a challenging regular season. Junior Colton Johnson has been a standout table-setter for the offense, boasting an elite .516 on-base percentage that ensures the Reds are constantly threatening to score. On the mound, the team relies on the steady presence of senior Karver Tom, who maintains a sharp 2.70 ERA and provides the kind of composure needed for postseason success. The Park City Miners arrive at the postseason as a high-energy squad that excels at using speed and aggressive play to dictate the tempo of the game. The Miners have plenty of reason for confidence given their balanced attack, led by senior powerhouse Alex Brannigan, who has put up remarkable numbers both as a hitter with a .417 average and 31 RBIs, and as a dominant force on the mound with 72 strikeouts. Their ability to manufacture runs is further bolstered by the elite speed of Joey Breza, whose 23 stolen bases and .510 on-base percentage make him one of the most dangerous baserunners in the bracket. By leaning into this combination of strikeout power from their pitching rotation and a high-pressure running game, Park City possesses the tactical versatility to challenge the higher seed and secure a path to the next round.
(19) Deseret Peak @ (14) Juan Diego Catholic
The Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle enter the 2026 postseason as a force to be reckoned with, currently riding a five-game winning streak and a first-place finish in Region 10. Leading the charge is senior Lange Livonius, the team's premier two-way talent, who has dominated with a .426 batting average and five home runs. He is supported by the elite speed of senior Kael Buck, whose 36 stolen bases make him one of the most dangerous threats on the basepaths in 4A. The Soaring Eagle further benefit from the reliable production of Nick Richardson, a key run-producer with a .436 on-base percentage, and the pitching strength of Nash Crowther, who provides a veteran presence at the top of the rotation. With a well-rounded roster that thrives on offensive efficiency and defensive stability, Juan Diego Catholic has all the components necessary to dictate the series tempo and advance to the Super Regionals.

Alongside him, senior Rykan Hacking provides a steady presence at the top of the order, helping fuel an offense that recently showcased its grit in a thrilling 6-5 victory over Union. By combining this senior poise with the versatile pitching and defensive stability of junior Cooper Kay, Uintah possesses the big-game experience and home-field advantage necessary to dictate the pace of this series and advance to the Super Regionals.
The Stansbury Stallions arrive at the postseason as a high-octane threat that excels at putting constant pressure on opposing defenses through speed and exceptional plate discipline. The Stallions' strength lies in their ability to manufacture runs efficiently, anchored by the strong production of Tyler Thorpe, who leads the team with a .400 batting average and a massive .521 on-base percentage. When Thorpe gets on base, the Stallions' aggressive identity truly shines, with junior Jaxon Wayman serving as a constant threat to swipe bags, having already recorded 14 stolen bases this season. If Stansbury can continue to utilize this "small-ball" approach to force defensive miscues while relying on the steady arm of Emmett Billings, who carries a sharp 1.91 ERA, they have the tactical speed and pitching depth required to challenge the higher seed and secure a postseason upset.

The Tigers' optimism stems from a strong veteran core, led by senior Parker Selby, whose highly efficient offense and consistent presence in the outfield provide a significant spark for the lineup. Defensively, the Tigers are anchored by the reliable play of sophomore Karston Goble, who carries a stellar .982 fielding percentage, while senior Jack Fitzgerald provides critical stability on the mound with a sharp 3.29 ERA.
