Carson Bolemon, 2026, LHP, Southside Christian
Wake Forest recruit. The senior left hander was untouchable in this appearance going 7 innings with no hits, no runs, one walk along with 18-strikeouts. Mature and athletic frame, comfortably fields his position and is light on his feet. Consistent mechanics with exceptional arm speed. Deceptive with short arm action and a H3Q slot. Would not be shocked to see velo tick up some in pro ball. Came out of the gates at 92-94 with normal ride&run on the FB. Opened the first with a steady diet of heaters, used less as the game went on due to his unhittable breaking stuff. Occasionally missed to his arm side trying to blow the FB by hitters in 2-strike counts. Consensus is CB is slightly ahead of the SL but showed great command of each this look. SL at 83-84 was used more to RHH generating a ton of misses diving towards their back foot with depth and sharp east-west break. Drops in true CB at 78-81, used more frequently to LHH but will mix to RHH as well. Both breaking balls are plus pitches with swing and miss traits and he shows confidence throwing each. Also flashed a CH in 2-strike counts at 83-86, shows some depth, average offering.

Had one stretch of 6-7 pitches where he walked and had a HBP on back to back hitters, but other than that location was on point the entire outing, firing 75% strikes on 81 pitches. Intriguing to see what pitches could be added to deepen this arsenal depending on which organization he lands with. Or on the other hand, can ride the track record of success with his current pitch mix. Bank on this ballplayer to develop and get outs at the professional level as he sets his sights on the big leagues.

Eman Benitez, 2027, C, Southside Christian
Uncommitted. Strong 5-11, 185-pound frame. The junior backstop launched a solo bomb early for his squad to provide all the offense needed to bring home the win this evening. Defensively, handles his position well and gives his pitcher confidence to fire away with steadiness behind the plate. At the plate, stands upright and slightly open, shows a decent-sized hand trigger getting into launch position. Easy effort through the zone with solid hand speed delivering a heavy barrel in the zone, turned on an inner-half heater that he got all of to deposit it over the wall in RF. Nice player.

Mason Iser, 2028, RHP/IF, River Bluff
Long and lean frame with some athleticism at 6-1, 192-pounds. Nice look on the bump with 1 IP, retiring all three batters he faced with 2 strikeouts. Finding consistent movements and mechanics on the bump but shows a solid ¾ slot and at least average arm speed. FB sat 84-86 with arm side action. Really nice SL at 75-77 with late bite and shows confidence to throw it to both handed hitters. Flashed a CH at 80. Two-way with juice from the left side at the plate as well, name to keep an eye on this summer.
