Walker McCrory, 2030, C, Spartanburg

Walker is the youngster of the group but you would not be able to tell by watching him play, the 8th grader was able to produce multiple runs for the offense in route to the win. The ability to command the pitching staff at a young age is impressive to watch, the defensive tools were on display as well as the offense. A strong defender throwing a runner out early in the contest as well as a clean glove and multiple big blocks in big spots. Showed a 2.1 Pop between innings.  The righty stands in the box slightly shoulder width apart with a relaxed body, bat resting on the shoulder. Utilizing a toe tap while gathering into the load, constantly puts himself in a strong spot to hit, keeping the barrel in the zone a long time.

Chris Colin, 2028, RHP, Spartanburg

The Sophomore took the ball in the District Championship game and was really good in the win for the Vikings. The pitchability was present with the ability to mix the FB and SL in the zone as well as mixing in a CHG as well. The ability to pitch backwards made the fastball play up. The Fastball played at 83-84 T85, while the slider was at 72-75. The ability to break the slider off away from the RHH with tight spin made it hard to pick up and get comfortable swings off. The fastball was able to play up in the zone as well as into RHH, creating weak contact. He was also to produce a run at the plate to help extend the lead for the Vikings in the middle part of the contest.
