Stillwater Pioneers

Overall Record: 23-5
District Record: 13-1

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
SS Brady Holliday (2027)
C/OF Kaden Twyman (2027)
OF Matthew Wulfert (2028)
UTL Briar Wadley (2026; Redlands)
RHP CJ Allee (2028)
OF Daniel Wulfert (2026)
RHP Ethan Evans (2026; Seminole State)

Coach Scalf and the Pioneers enter the postseason with one of the younger squads in 6A that has continued to develop throughout the season and a dominant 13-1 district mark along the way. They have seasoned leadership in the lineup to help pace the squad with seniors like Briar Wadley (Redlands) and Daniel Wulfert that can tap into their experience.  Junior shorstop Brady Holliday and junior backstop Kaden Twyman are in the midst of big years in 2026, working in the middle of the order. Holliday consistently churns out QABs as one of the premier table setters with sneaky XBH potential working out of the 2-Hole. Twyman has shown the ability to drive the baseball to all parts of the yard, with authority, and gives Coach Scalf and his staff options as he can defend at multiple spots. Finally, we have seen the emergence of physical sophomore Matthw Wulfert at the top of the order and manning centerfield. On the mound, sophomore CJ Allee has continued to develop throughout the season, eventually working into the Monday role, and showed the ability to land multiple pitches and beat anyone in the state. Senior Ethan Evans (Seminole State) brings both experience and the ability to execute multiple pitches to a staff that will need to find length from multiple arms with a regional full of gritty offenses. With a well-rounded roster and a strong finish to district play, the Pioneers have all the tools to make a deep run this postseason and should be viewed as a legitimate threat in Class 6A.

Enid Plainsmen

Overall Record: 20-12
District Record: 9-5

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
CF Keon Young (2027)
3B Cal Gore (2028)
RHP Dez Mittelstet (2026)
C/OF Zerek Slater (2027)
LHP/OF Jevin Fowler (2028)
RHP/UTL Jeron Dow (2027)
1B/LHP Dallas Darrow (2026; Coffeyville)
C Baylor Shaw (2028)
RHP Heath Wisel (2026; Coffeyville)
INF Matthew Hoeltzel (2028)

Coach Gore and the Plainsmen come into the 2026 postseason as one of the more dangerous 2 seeds that you'll find. Poised with a combination of veteran experience and talented underclassmen, Enid has been tested and are primed to make noise late. On the mound, they have seen the emergence of senior Dez Mittelstet, his upward trajectory has been steady with consistent development and has shown the ability to beat anyone on Monday night. His ability to compete as a true ace has made Enid that much more dangerous as the year continues. Sophomore Jevin Fowler has also shown the ability to truly pitch, land multiple pitches in the zone, and kept some of the most competitive offenses in 6A off balance. Junior Jeron Dow also has massive upside, and would be someone to watch in the postseason. Offensively, junior Keon Young has shown to be one of the most dynamic leadoff hitters in the state with a combination of power and speed with the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. Working behind Young in the lineup is sophomore third baseman Cal Gore as he has consistently showcased one of the more advanced approaches in the state and churned out doubles to all fields. To advance, the toughness we have seen time and time again to come to the surface from productive middle of the order bats like senior Dallas Darrow (Coffeyville signee), junior Zerek Slater, and sophomore Baylor Shaw. This battle tested club has shown the ability to win when it matters most and we would not be a surprise to see them make another run through the postseason in 2026.

Sapulpa Chieftains

Overall Record: 18-16
District Record: 8-6

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
RHP/UTL Tyler Sparks (2027)
INF/RHP Ryan Angell (2027)
OF Brysen Donnell (2026; Carl Albert)
INF Colin Segroves (2028)
LHP Jensen Penn (2027)

Coach Irvine and the Chieftains come into postseason play as arguably the most dangerous "3 seed" in the state. To win in the postseason, teams need a distinct understanding of who they are and Sapulpa has just that. Offensively, they are led by senior Bryson Donnell (Carl Albert signee), consistently setting the tone for a gritty offense and turned in a .413 average that includes 10 doubles. He plays with an edge that opposing teams do not want to see this time of year, and will be a key to the Chieftains making a run at the state tourney. Junior infielder Colin Segroves and senior Aaron Roberts have each shown the ability to add to the offensive attack as well, with each getting on base executing consistently. Finally, a pair of junior 2-way talents in Tyler Sparks and Ryan Angell have shown the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. Each are talented on the mound with Sparks competing on Monday night and holding down some of the best offenses in 6A while Angell's upside and versatility in role will make him a valuable piece in a state tourney run. Juniors Logan Mason and Jensen Penn showcase depth that will be needed to compete in the postseason. A gritty Sapulpa squad is one to watch in the Stillwater Regional with versatility, upside, and the toughness to win when it matters most.

Putnam City North Panthers

Overall Record: 3-28
District Record: 0-14

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
OF Treague Ferguson (2027)
RHP Gavin Lang (2026)
INF Reece Hubble (2026)
CF Xayvion Jones (2026)
RHP Alfredo Renteria (2026)

Coach Johnson and the Panthers have had their share of challenges throughout the 2026 season on both sides of the ball. Despite a tough W/L column, they have played a number of close games and competing in those will only help them in the postseason. They are led by a trio of upperclassmen offensively, with junior outfielder Treague Ferguson hitting .379 on the season, senior infielder Reece Hubble with a .360 batting average, and senior centerfielder Xayvion Jones hitting .300 but a .424 OBP highlighting his ability to get on case pressure defenses. On the mound, Hubble has been a valuable member of the staff and is joined by senior Alfredo Renteria. Renteria has punched out 30 in 33 IP and the ability to miss bats and keep hitters off balance will be a key for any postseason success for the Panthers. They have an opportunity to make noise this postseason with QABs throughout the lineup, play good defense, and attack the zone on the mound.
