The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement is building throughout Iowa. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Iowa.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in Carroll or Cedar Rapids at the IHSAA 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A State Tournaments, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to shine a spotlight on all teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Iowa.

TEAM OUTLOOK

“We will have 7 returning starters from a state championship team, however lost two of our main arms. We have some young arms that will compete for varsity innings this year. We never talk about wins and losses, but only about being the best version of ourselves that we can be day in and day out. If we reach our potential this year, we hope to make a run at a conference title and another long post season run.” – Devin Schwiesow, head coach
