PBKC Arrowhead Shootout: In Review
May 5, 2026
Another action packed weekend has come and gone in KC following the Arrowhead Shootout. The near 150 teams spread throughout 13 divisions all battled hard through the weekend in an effort to claim a banner on Sunday and below will feature all 13 champions as well as the finalists in their respective division. To lead things off, let's take a peak into the stars of the action with my Arrowhead standouts.
2031 C Jax Pedigo (Wichita Reds): Pedigo played up with the 14u squads this weekend and did much more than just prove that he'd deserved to be there. The stout left handed hitting backstop kept it simple in the box with a simple, repeatable setup before getting to extension with consistent success. Pedigo was seated firmly in the heart of the Reds order all weekend and delivered with 3 multi hit bouts over the course of the five game slot being a big reason for the Reds finding themselves holding a banner on Sunday.
2030 INF Landon Hundley (YBC-Blackcats): Hundley delivered a breakout weekend at the dish for YBC putting the PBKC crew on notice. The well built infielder held down the hot corner for YBC for a large part of the weekend along with recording 2+ hits in all five games of the weekend resulting in a blistering .714AVG while driving in 7 runs out of the heart of the order. We look forward to Hundley continuing to put out big weekends like this one as the Spring winds down to a close.
2030 OF Creighton Lutt (Prime 27:17 Black): Lutt has continued to improve from weekend to weekend at the plate to go along with stellar defensive play and intangibles as a young player and this weekend was no different. The athletic left handed hitter reached in all 4 games on the weekend for Prime while continuing to play strong defense, earning all 4 starts of the weekend in the corner outfield. As the young outfielder continues to grow and mature there is no doubt this is a player that will posess a full tool belt when it comes time to play college baseball.
2030 UTL Hudson Findlay (Inside Edge - Asher): Findlay has been as steady as it comes at the plate in the heart of the order for Inside edge all spring with this weekend being no exception. Findlay reached in all 4 slots on the weekend including a pair of multi hit games in pool play while excelling both at shortstop and in centerfield for Inside Edge as well as hopping on the mound in relief. Findlay's pairing of pure competitive nature, athleticism, and the ability to consistently find himself on the barrel with the strength to find extra bases make him one of the more complete baseball players in this 2030 class.
2030 RHP Kaysen Barber (Inside Edge - Asher): Barber is one of the more unqiue pitchers strolling into the PBKC scene from weekend to weekend being almost exclusively featured out of the bullpen. Over 3 apperances Barber racked up 7Ks to a lone BB allowing 1 run in 3 and 1/3 total innings of work. Barber finds himself with plenty of present strength in a 5'10, 175 pound frame, the righty overpowering bats with a strong FB/SL mix.
Tournament Champions
14u D1
After losing their first game of the weekend, Patriot Sports Club went on a terror, winning the next three games while compiling a +22 run differential in their tournament run. While getting contributions from their whole lineup, Couper Gear, Brady Willis, Cruz Dawson, and Izer Scott conducted a high powered a high powered offense on their way to the title.

Inside Edge - Asher put together another run deep into the bracket in the Shootout this weekend starting out as the only 2-0 team after the conclusion of pool play. The consistent production from players like Eli McDaniel, Hudson Findlay, Blake Samson, and Kaysen Barber will continue to put Inside Edge - Asher among the ranks of tournament champions and I would be shocked to see them not finding their way to a banner by the end of the Spring.
