Coach Skokowski and the Wildcats have once again put themselves in the driver's seat to make another run at a state tourney earning the opportunity to host. Finishing the regular season at 25-11 and an impressive 12-2 mark in district play, Piedmont has had production from an assortment of players throughout their lineup. Offensively, they have a surplus of players that can make an impact and pressure opposing defenses. Near the top of the order, senior Zane Pruitt (Southern Nazarene signee) and sophomore Blaine Hollingshead have shown the ability to rack up hits in bunches, execute when needed, and have the discipline to use the entire yard. The middle of the lineup stretches deeper than most, with plenty of extra base hit potential within the group, and players like senior backstop Reid Smith (Eastern Oklahoma), senior Ethan Burns (Northeastern State), Jarret Isennock (Southern Nazarene), and outfielder Jack Guinn (Eastern Oklahoma) have driven in runs at a high clip. On the mound, junior Pryce McClure has emerged as the type of arm that can beat anyone. The right handed pitcher has flashed a dynamic mix that can keep hitters off balance and has beaten some of the top lineups in 6A. Senior Drake May (Hutchinson CC) appears to be throwing his best baseball of the season, at the right time, and tapping into his experience pitchinig into the state tournament a season ago. The Wildcats have the pitching and defense, to go along with veteran experience throughout a talented lineup, to make a run at a 6A title run in 2026.
Edmond Memorial Bulldogs

Overall Record: 22-14
District Record: 11-3
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
IF/RHP Cooper Kardokus (2026, Nebraska)
SS Jase Winchester (2026; Barton County)
OF Landon Schmidt (2027)
RHP/1B Laird Williams (2026; Tulane)
RHP/DH Cole Dunlap (2027; TCU)
OF Koen Isaacson (2027)
INF Creed Kardokus (2028)
1B Jameson Gottsch (2027)
C Weston Zerr (2028)
RHP Cooper Wilson (2026; Barton County)
RHP/OF Beau Bayouth (2026; Cloud County)
RHP/1B Carter Steelman (2028)
Coach Holman and the Bulldogs have battled their share of injuries but appear ready to make a run with one of the most talented rosters in the state. Offensively, they pack a punch at the top with junior Koen Isaacson showing the ability to drive extra base hits to both alleys as well as the speed to pressure defenses on the bases. Senior shortstop Jase Winchester (Barton CC) has also shown the ability to churn out extra base hits and put together consistent QABs against some of the toughest arms in 6A. Finally, senior Cooper Kardokus (Nebraska) has been a consistent force in the Bulldog lineup for years and will be a key to Edmond Memorial advancing out of regional play. To advance, expect playes like junior Landon Schmidt, junior first baseman Jameson Gottsch, and sophomores Weston Zerr and Creed Kardokus to make a big impact, keep the line moving, and consistently turn in big time QABs. The difference for Memorial vs most teams in on the mound, however. Led by junior right hander Cole Dunlap (TCU) and senior Laird Williams (Tulane), they pack one of the top 1-2 punches in the state in their rotation that can go toe to toe against anyone. Like their lineup, the depth after the frontline starters will ultimately be the difference with seniors Beau Bayouth (Cloud County CC) and Cooper Wilson (Barton CC) along with sophomore Carter Steelman providing valuable innings throughout the year. The Bulldogs boast a talented lineup, elite frontline starters, and have the depth to make a state tourney run in 2026.
Southmoore Sabercats

Overall Record: 13-20
District Record: 5-9
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
RHP Brody Pierce (2027)
C Ethan Parrish (2028)
INF Landin Shippers (2026)
INF Dalten Gomez (2028)
Coach Aguirre and the Sabercats approach the postseason with a combination of veteran experience and youth that look to make their mark on the month of May. An up and down season, specifically in district play, they have shown flashes with youth near the top of the order in sophomores Ethan Parrish, Shane Fordenbacher, and Dalten Gomez. They have shown the ability to extend ABs and have displayed the toughness that it takes to succeed in the postseason. Senior Landin Shippers will also be counted on offensively to drive in runs and be a steady contributor on the mound. Further, on the mound, junior Brody Pierce has flashed the upside with a long and lean frame and the fearlessness to attack the zone against talented offenses. His ability to limit free passes and attack opposing offenses is a winning trait in the postseason. If the Sabercats can produce enough offense, they can make some noise in regional play with steady pitching and defense as a steady group that does not beat themselves.
Eisenhower Eagles

Overall Record: 8-25
District Record: 2-12
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
OF Jayven Wesley (2027)
C Colten Anderson (2026)
OF Santana Gordon (2026)
INF/RHP Cayden Vickers (2026)
It has been tough for much of the year with Coach Shows and the Eagles, but they have shown flashes of competing in close games and scoring runs in bunches. In 6 of their 8 wins on the season, Eisenhower has scored double digit runs while being led by upperclassmen at the top of the order. Seniors Colten Anderson, Santana Gordon, and Cayden Vickers have all hit near the top of the order with the with the upside to pressure opposing defenses and the experience in the postseason that they can tap into as well. Further, junior Jayven Wesley is planted in the middle of the order and is a talented upperclassmen that has seen some of the top arms in the state throughou district play this season. On the mound, the pitchability of Vickers and his ability to keep teams off balance with a steady 4-pitch mix could make some noise in regional play. Ike has the opportunity to make some noise in Piedmont following a district campaign against some of the most talented teams in the state.
