Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. Cory Les (2026; Louisville Commit) went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, RBI single, and two runs scored. Sean Popp (2026; Oakton CC Commit) went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI doubles. Daniel Coyle (2026; Lewis Commit) knocked in two RBIs on his two sacrifice flies. Jimmy Benson (2027; TCU Commit) pitched a six-inning complete game shutout with five strikeouts.

Gavin Michaels (2026; Cincinnati Commit) hit the two-run double, Max Heineman (2026; UIC Commit) the RBI groundout and RBI double, and Jacob Engel (2026) with the two-run single. Andrew Naour (2026), Beckett Weber (2026), and Drew Stevens (2026; Valparaiso Commit) all hit a sacrifice fly. Lucas Beaty (2027) was a key guy that went 2-for-2 with two singles, a walk, stolen base, a run scored, and an RBI. Beckett Weber started on the mound and threw four innings and struck out eight to earn the win.

Paris Head (2029) hit a lead-off home run to begin the scoring, and then he hit an RBI double in the second inning. Jacob DeVinney (2026; St. Mary's (MN) Commit) collected an RBI double in this contest. Isaiah Martin (2027) recorded two of the three stolen bases for the Champions. Cruz Warren (2027) threw three innings and struck out five. Ronan Owens (2026; Umass Commit) came in relief and tossed four hitless frames and struck out three to earn the win.

Carson Holmes (2026) hit the two-run double (and stole a base), Will Carey (2026) the RBI single and RBI groundout (and a stolen base), Nick Farmakis (2026) the two-run single, and Aiden Weaver (2027) with two RBIs on a reach on error. Four pitchers combined to complete five innings and strike out four while only giving up a run. Madden Cotts (2027; Bradley Commit) threw two innings and recorded three of the four punchouts for the Wildcats.

Then, Michael Haran (2027) scored on a wild pitch before Noah Ulbrich tied it with a sacrifice fly. Then, Prestin Dahm hit the game-winning two-RBI single to give the Bulldogs the lead and the win.
