IL/WI Content

Senior LHP Cannon Madej (Southwestern Illinois commit) continued his dominant run for No. 15 Lemont this week, tossing a gem in a 3-0 win over Hanover Central (IL), following up his no-hitter just a week ago. The senior has been on a dominant run all season long, cementing himself as a key piece in Lemot's 18-5 record to date. For these reasons, the senior has been named this week's Pitcher of the Week.

In his start again, Hanover Central the left-hander tossed seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and zero walks, while striking out 11. Bringing his season total to 30.1 innings pitched with 49 strikeouts, 16 walks, and just 13 hits.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound left-hander is currently ranked 130th in our 26’ rankings. He’s continued to show polish on the mound, sitting in the mid-80s with a strong fastball and curveball mix. He’s been giving hitters fits all season long, showing no signs of slowing down.
