Bishop Gorman 8, Centennial 4
Bishop Gorman utilized a powerful offensive display and steady pitching to defeat Centennial 8-4 on Thursday. The Gaels’ bats came alive in key moments, launching two home runs to secure a definitive road victory in the Class 5A Southern Region tournament.

Seniors, Alex Larosa and senior Chase Wilk, provided the power for the Gaels. Both players finished with two hits and two RBIs, each launching a home run to spark the offense. Junior Justin Rodrigues continued his hot streak, tallying two hits and two RBIs while also contributing a scoreless inning on the mound to close out the game. Senior Hudson Ciulla earned the win, battling through six innings and racking up nine strikeouts. Centennial was led by junior Jake Turner, who legged out an inside-the-park home run and finished with two RBIs, and sophomore Jaxon Burr, who tallied two hits in the loss.

Palo Verde 7, Desert Oasis 5
Palo Verde utilized a historic seven-run seventh inning to stun Desert Oasis 7-5 on Thursday. Trailing 4-0 entering their final at-bat, the Panthers relied on a massive late-inning power surge to erase the deficit and secure a crucial elimination game victory in the Class 5A Southern Region tournament.

The story of the game was junior Stone Amsden, who delivered the definitive blow for the Panthers. Amsden finished 2-for-4, headlined by a towering grand slam in the top of the seventh that provided the game-winning runs. On the mound, sophomore Payton Conley-Cimini earned the win in relief, shutting down the Diamondbacks over the final 1.2 innings. Desert Oasis was led by seniors Lincoln Guillermo and Brody Griffith, who each tallied extra-base hits, but the Diamondbacks' bullpen struggled to hold the lead in the final frame.

Arbor View 11, Faith Lutheran 3
Arbor View utilized an explosive eight-run fourth inning to overpower Faith Lutheran 11-3 on Thursday at Durango High School. The Aggies extended their winning streak to ten games, capitalizing on a massive offensive surge to advance further in the Class 5A Southern Region tournament.

The story of the game was the poise of freshman Tucker Christman, who earned the win with a complete-game effort. Christman tossed seven innings, surrendering three runs while keeping the Crusaders' potent lineup at bay. Offensively, junior shortstop and CSN commit Devin Martin anchored the lineup with three hits and a game-high three RBIs. Junior Colton Christman—an LSU commit who recently tossed a playoff no-hitter—led the team with three hits, while Rhett Bryce provided the decisive blow with a bases-clearing three-run single in the fourth. Faith Lutheran was led by Miami commit Rookie Shepard who finished 2-for-3 with an RBI double.

Galena utilized a balanced offensive attack and a clinical complete-game performance on the mound to defeat McQueen 8-5 on Thursday. The Grizzlies capitalized on a decisive four-run fifth inning and a disciplined approach at the plate to secure the home victory.

The story of the game was the grit of Galena's Andrew Duguid. Duguid tossed a 7-inning complete game, surrendering four earned runs while striking out seven to earn the win. Offensively, Dray Noble anchored the middle of the order with a hit and a game-high three RBIs. Charles Tipton provided the depth, finishing a perfect 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, while senior Nathan Cordell showed veteran discipline by drawing three walks. McQueen was led by senior Brooks Porter, a premier two-way prospect who launched a solo home run to right field in the fifth to keep the Lancers within striking distance.
