In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

Charlie Prokash delivered a strong start for Algoma, pitching six innings and allowing three earned runs on four hits while striking out six. Sturgeon Bay mounted a comeback attempt behind Ethan Kratcha, who went 2-for-4 with three runs scored, and Ruenger, who drove in two runs, but Braeden Leist closed the door in the seventh to earn the victory.

Sturgeon Bay capitalized on a late relief effort to edge Algoma 4-3 in the closing game of the doubleheader. Trailing 3-1, Sturgeon Bay rallied back to tie the game before securing the victory in the bottom of the seventh inning on an error. Rylan Ruenger started on the mound for Sturgeon Bay, striking out five over 4.2 innings while giving up three unearned runs on three hits, before Van Eperan S earned the win with 2.1 scoreless frames of relief. Offensively, Drew Propsom led Sturgeon Bay by going 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored, while Ruenger added two RBI. Algoma was paced by Dylan Seiler, who finished 2-for-4 with a run scored, while starting pitcher Jacob Massey took the loss despite striking out eight batters across five innings of work.
