National Player of the Week: 4/27 to 5/3

By Andy Sroka
National Managing Editor, Scouting

Today, we’re announcing our 10th National Player of the Week of the 2026 campaign as seasons start to wind down across the country and the playoffs are heating up, if not right around the corner.

The following players were submitted by their coaches to our state directors and they went on to earn the Player or Pitcher of the Week award in those states. From there, we sifted through the country’s POTWs and selected the top performer among them, singling them out as the sole National Player of the Week. If you’re a coach interested in submitting a nomination this season but have not yet received that form so far this spring, visit our staff directory to find the contact information for the state director overseeing your state’s season coverage.

Our staff took player stat lines from the week of April 27 to May 3 into account when determining these awards.

🏆 NATIONAL POTW

Addison Senn LHP / Ariton, AL / 2027

“The uncommitted southpaw delivered one of the most dominant outings of the postseason in the Sweet 16 round of the AHSAA State Playoffs against Ranburne, spinning a complete-game no-hitter while striking out 17 and allowing no runs.”

David Sharp, Deep South Supervisor

(3/10/26)

Arizona

+ Tre Hallberg, 3B/OF (Desert Ridge HS, 2027) | Uncommitted:
“Tre turned in one of the loudest offensive weeks we have seen this season, that directly impacted Desert Ridge’s postseason push. Across two games, Tre hit for the cycle and followed that up with a three-homer game that included a two-strike, two-out walk-off blast in extra innings to send Desert Ridge through the play-in round.

The 2027 bat showed the ability to impact the game in every phase offensively, combining power with feel for the barrel and the ability to deliver in big moments. There is a confident presence in the box with a controlled yet aggressive approach, allowing him to get to pitches he can elevate while still covering the zone. The power plays naturally, but what stood out most was the ability to rise in high leverage situations and carry the offense when it mattered most.

Performances like this, especially in postseason play, continue to elevate Tre as one of the premier bats in Arizona’s 2027 class, now tied for the 6A lead with nine home runs while slashing .462 with a 1.460 OPS.”

Antonio Torres, Arizona Scouting Director

(2/12/26)

Arkansas

+ Rogan Tyler, C (Brookland HS, 2027) | Walters State JC:
“This week in Arkansas, junior backstop Rogan Tyler exploded for his team offensively. At the plate, Tyler hit .714 while picking up a couple of homers and six RBIs across two games helping his team take home the district championship. The Walters State CC commit previously represented Arkansas at the Future Games in LakePoint where he put his name on the map.”

Mikel Howell, Arkansas Asst. Director

(7/23/25)

Colorado

+ Hunter Vitello, RHP (Denver South HS, 2027) | Uncommitted:
“Vitello was an easy choice for Colorado's ‘Pitcher of the Week’ after shoving for a complete-game seven innings with 15(!) strikeouts, zero walks, zero earned runs, and just four hits allowed against a ranked Vista Peak team. The uncommitted junior was in complete control from the start, and our Prep Baseball scouting staff was on hand for the impressive outing. Vitello had his fastball up to 91 mph early and mixed in a strong curveball/slider combo to right-handers, keeping them off balance with awkward takes and swings. Lefties saw a good dose of a deceptive changeup, which he used both for whiffs and in the zone to keep hitters off his fastball. Overall, Vitello’s advanced feel for his full arsenal and ability to create multiple shapes stand out, along with his increasing velocity on the mound at 6-foot-4. The Denver South right-hander is certainly a name to know for college programs, as his numbers now sit at 83 strikeouts across 42.2 innings with just 10 walks and a 2.30 ERA.”

+ Peter Worth, C (Northfield HS, 2026) | Washington (MO):
“Worth had one of the more memorable games at the plate this spring, hitting for the cycle against Longmont last week. The senior did it in order; single, double, triple, before ending the game in run-rule, walk-off fashion with a two-run homer to seal a 13-3 win for the Nighthawks. Overall on the week, Worth went 7-for-12 with four extra-base hits and four RBIs. He’s now hitting .464 with eight doubles, four home runs, two triples, 12 stolen bases, and a 1.415 OPS across 67 plate appearances in 2026.”

Caleb Dameron, Colorado Staff

(6/14/25)

Illinois

+ Brady Cunningham, 3B (Brother Rice HS, 2027) | Texas A&M:
“Cunningham was 7-for-11 with a double, a triple, two home runs, four walks, 10 RBIs and nine runs scored last week for Brother Rice. He was a major factor in helping Brother Rice finish the week with a perfect 4-0 record, winning four pivotal conference games in the Chicago Catholic League. The Texas A&M commit started off the week by helping to score five of the nine runs against Loyola Academy. He finished the day with two extra bases in his 2-for-3 performance, hitting a triple, a home run, driving in three and scoring two runs.

Cunningham would see Loyola again the very next day and came back with an even stronger performance, finishing the day with a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate. He hit another home run, collecting four RBIs and coming across to score three times en route to a dominant 14-2 win. Thursday would see Brother Rice take on the first game against St. Rita, where Cunningham would finish the day 1-for-3 with a double and a walk, collecting two RBIs and two runs scored. The junior would again see St. Rita on Saturday, putting up a 1-for-2 performance with two walks, an RBI, and two runs scored. Cunningham would also get the start on the mound, going three innings, giving up three hits, two walks, allowing an earned run and striking out seven to help cap off an undefeated week for the Crusaders.

One of the top players in the entire country, Cunningham is currently our No. 3 player in the state and also ranked No. 59 overall in the nation. At 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, he is an imposing player and possesses some of the best power/speed combinations in the country. The future Aggie was up to a 109 max EVs earlier this winter, which pairs well with his 6.52-second 60 time. The sky is the limit for Cunningham, and we are looking forward to continuing to track him throughout the rest of his high school career.”

(4/30/26)

+ Cannon Madej, LHP (Lemont HS, 2026) | Southwestern Illinois JC:
“Madej continued his dominant run for No. 15 Lemont this week, tossing a gem in a 3-0 win over Hanover Central (IN), following up his no-hitter just a week ago. The senior has been on a dominant run all season long, cementing himself as a key piece in Lemot's 18-5 record to date. For these reasons, the senior has been named this week's Pitcher of the Week.

In his start again, Hanover Central the left-hander tossed seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and zero walks, while striking out 11. Bringing his season total to 30.1 innings pitched with 49 strikeouts, 16 walks, and just 13 hits.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound left-hander is currently ranked No. 130 in our '26 rankings. He’s continued to show polish on the mound, sitting in the mid-80s with a strong fastball and curveball mix. He’s been giving hitters fits all season long, showing no signs of slowing down.”

Kansas

+ Levi Robertson, RHP (Shawnee Mission South HS, 2026) | Butler JC:
“Robertson has emerged as a breakout arm this spring, adding depth to what is already one of the state's premier pitching staffs. The 6-foot-7, 250-pound right-hander was nearly flawless in a complete-game shutout against Lawrence, finishing just a walk and an error shy of perfection while racking up 10 strikeouts to earn the state's player of the week honor.”

Eliott Wilk, Central Region Ops. Director

(6/1/25)

Maryland

+ Joseph Coudon, OF (John Carroll HS, 2026) | UMBC:
“Coudon etched his name in the MIAA Conference record books last week, tying the record for career home runs on Monday with a leadoff solo bomb, then breaking the record with a homerun and a 5-for-5 performance at the dish on Thursday. The right-handed slugger capped off his week going 8-for-9 with two home runs, six RBI, and seven runs scored out of the leadoff spot for John Carroll. One of the most prolific power bats this conference has ever seen.”

Jamie Naill, Maryland Scouting Director

(6/12/25)

North Carolina

+ Drew Dixon, OF/C (Burns HS, 2026) | Uncommitted:
“Dixon takes home the NC Player of the Week honors after a highly impressive week hitting at a .875 clip with four extra-base hits, eight RBIs, 10 runs scored and four stolen bases. A dynamic offensive force this week leading his squad to a 3-0 week and a conference championship for Burns.”

Sean Smith, Mid-Atlantic Ops., Area Scout

(2/23/26)

Oregon

+ Ben Foglio, LHP (Clackamas HS, 2027) | Washington:
“A highly skilled junior arm, Foglio went CG on the mound to win the state's 'Pitcher of the Week' for Week Seven of Oregon action. The lefty went seven innings, allowing no runs, one hit and one walk while striking out 12 batters. The UW commit has been key for a Clackamas side that is the top-ranked team in our most recent Oregon Power 25 rankings.”

+ Jace Litten, OF (Churchill HS, 2026) | Bushnell:
“Litten had a huge offensive week to win 'HOTW' for Week Seven of Oregon high school action. The senior reached base in every plate appearance, going 6-for-6 with a home run, three triples and a double. He also added two walks, five runs and 10 RBIs in his stellar week. The Bushnell commit is a top-10 ranked player in Oregon's 2026 class and is a POTY-type talent.”

Dylan Grenz, Pacific Northwest Asst. Scouting Director

(7/29/25)

South Carolina

+ Carson Bolemon, LHP (Southside Christian HS, 2026) | Wake Forest:
“Tossed a no-hitter punching out 18 with just one walk in his appearance. Was in complete control throwing 75 percent strikes on 81 pitches, mixing a heater up to 94, two plus breaking pitches and a solid changeup. Roughly 40 pro scouts were in attendance to see this likely Day One MLB Draft selection put on a show.”

Sean Smith, Mid-Atlantic Ops., Area Scout

(7/19/25)

Virginia

+ Henry Brown, 3B (Frank W. Cox HS, 2026) | VCU:
“Entering Friday there were a few teams that had solidified themselves as two of the top teams in the '757', Cox and Greenbrier Christian were two of them. Hank Brown took it upon himself to make sure that everyone knew that the Falcons should be at the forefront of that conversation. We have seen the VCU commit a number of times, but Friday night seemed a little different, especially on the mound. Brown was 85-88 mph through the first few innings and was locating the fastball, but it was the slider that was the difference maker in this one. The senior right-hander collected countless whiffs, in and out of the zone, over the course of his six innings on the mound. Brown piled up nine strikeouts over his six innings of work, threw around 65 percent strikes, and faced just three batters over the minimum during that time. In addition to his dominant night on the mound versus a Power 25 opponent, Brown tied the game up in the third with a solo home run out of center field. Brown had two hits on the night to go along with two walks. While the Falcons have some solid tier one and tier two wins, this was their lone win over an opponent currently in the Power 25.”

Jason Burton, Virginia/DC Scouting Director

(5/1/26)

Wisconsin

+ Grady Chvosta, SS (Slinger HS, 2026) | MSOE:
“A key catalyst in wins over Nicolet and Arrowhead, going 10-for-16, with one home run, four doubles, nine RBIs, four runs, and four walks. The highlight of the week was a walk-off double in the 8th against Arrowhead. The right-handed bat is now slashing .435/.534/.696 with a 1.230 OPS, nine doubles, one home run, 16 RBIs, nine walks, and eight stolen bases.

Chvosta started his week with a 1-for-4 performance in a loss to Harftord, collecting one RBI. It wasn’t till the next day that he began to catch fire, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and two doubles in a heartbreaking 3-4 loss against Homestead, which went into the 9th. Chosta got the scoring started this game with an RBI double in the top of the 3rd. He carried this momentum into the next game against Wisconsin Lutheran, going 2-for-3, with two RBIs, a home run, and one walk. Another game when the shortstop got the scoring started with a two-run bomb in the top of the first. Although this would not be enough as the Owls would fall 7-3.

Slinger would turn it around as the weekend hit, starting with an 8-6 win over Nicolet. Chvosta would go 1-for-2 in this game, with two RBIs, a double, and two walks. He capped off a seven-run 5th inning with a two-run double. Then in the final game of the week, Chvosta played hero with a walk-off double in the bottom of the 8th. He ended the game a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs, and a walk.

The senior has always been an impact bat through his years at Slinger, now on track to break the school's single-season double record, which stands at 13 right now.”

(4/30/26)

+ Luke Parkinson, RHP (Whitnall HS, 2026) | Bradley:
“Parkinson was outstanding in his lone start this week for Whitnall, tossing a five-inning, run-rule, no-hitter. Parkinson led the Falcons on the mound to an 11-0 win over New Berlin West, finishing the game with a run rule in the fifth inning. This is his second hitless outing after going three strong in a loss to Hartford. For this reason, the senior has been named this week's Pitcher of the Week.

The right-hander tossed five innings, allowing zero hits, zero runs, and one walk while striking out eight. This is Parkinson’s most impressive start this year, which has been filled with a handful of dominant outings. Now having tossed 20.2 innings, allowing only five hits, and striking out 33.

Currently ranked 24th overall in the Wisconsin 2026 class, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound right-hander has looked the part all year long on the mound. Earlier this April, showing the fastball up to 90 mph, with a polished curveball and changeup to follow. Parkinson is also getting it done with the bat, going 2-for-5 with a double, three RBIs, and a walk in Whitnall's wins over New Berlin West and Milwaukee Lutheran.”
