VARSITY SPRING STANDOUTS:
|
Brennen Reiser SS / OF / Legacy, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 2
One of the more impressive freshman campaigns in recent years belongs to Legacy’s left-handed slugger, Brennen Reiser. Hitting .467 against tough 5A competition has vaulted him up to No. 3 in the rankings and made him the top-ranked position player in the class. Reiser shows advanced feel for the barrel well beyond his age, consistently controlling at-bats and producing quality contact to all fields with impressive bat speed. That feel is backed by exceptional bat-to-ball skills, as he’s struck out just twice across 52 plate appearances this spring.

Cameron Wiley C / 3B / Mead, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 1
Wiley is a Junior Future Games alum from last summer who has stood out across the board this spring for Mead’s 4A Mavericks. The tall, strong catcher has belted 9 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs, while hitting .361 across 71 plate appearances. Wiley’s left-handed swing generates easy thump with a clean, simple path through the baseball that projects well as he continues to mature physically. Behind the plate and in the infield, Wiley’s size and strength stand out, and the offensive upside continues to trend upward as he develops into his frame. With a combination of present power, projection, and left-handed offensive traits, Wiley remains an intriguing follow moving forward.

Easton Gattis LHP / 1B / Windsor, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 11 / POS: 1
Gattis has hit .395 with 2 home runs and 3 doubles for Windsor this spring, continuing to show advanced offensive feel early in his high school career. The young hitter comes with some baseball pedigree as the nephew of Evan Gattis, and he’s already showing signs of a polished hit tool with the ability to consistently find the barrel. There’s still plenty of room for Gattis to fill out physically, making the offensive upside especially intriguing as he continues to add strength and develop.

Carson Davies RHP / 1B / Heritage, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 13 / POS: 2
Davies has logged 43.1 innings for Heritage’s varsity squad this spring, striking out 39 hitters while issuing just 12 walks. The right-hander features a projectable 6'3" frame with present strength and solid overall feel for his full arsenal on the mound. As the velocity and overall stuff continue to develop, Davies has the traits and projection to make a big jump in the near future.

Kaden Rossiter C / 3B / Colorado Academy, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 2
At the 3A level this spring, Rossiter has hit to the tune of a .418 average with 9 doubles while handling everyday catching duties as a freshman. Rossiter features an athletic, high-waisted frame with clean actions behind the dish, solid baseball IQ, and traits that project well on both sides of the ball moving forward. The Junior Future Games alum has already shown advanced feel for the game at an early age and has a great chance to be a consistent riser in these rankings.

NOTEABLE RISERS:
|
Jacob Bradley OF / LHP / ThunderRidge, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 2
Bradley is a highly projectable left-handed hitter/pitcher who has jumped into the top 10 after producing for ThunderRidge’s 5A varsity squad. The youngster has been thrust into the leadoff spot for the Grizzlies and shows speed that plays well in-game, both offensively and defensively, where he’s tracked down difficult outs in the outfield with ease. On the mound from the left-side, Bradley features athletic actions and long levers that project extremely well moving forward. As he continues to mature physically and add strength, there’s clear upside for more velocity and overall stuff to come. With his combination of athleticism, projection, and two-way ability, Bradley is one of the more intriguing follows in the class over the next few years.

|
Emry Gates SS / RHP / Fairview, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 5
Gates brings some of the most explosive present strength in the class, highlighted by a 95 mph event exit velocity and a fastball that has reached 87 mph on the mound. He’s already shown the ability to translate those tools into in-game production for one of 5A’s top programs in the Fairview Knights. Gates has the upside to develop into a legitimate two-way contributor, with the offensive strength and arm talent both standing out at an early stage. The velocity on the mound is especially noteworthy, and as the frame continues to mature, he’s a player worth following closely moving forward.
|
|
Eli Ranieri OF / RHP / Windsor, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 4
Ranieri has a chance to be one of the most athletic players in this class, already running a 6.71 60-yard dash out of a lean 6-foot frame. The upside doesn’t stop with the speed either, as Ranieri is toolsy across the board, pairing an 86 mph outfield throwing velocity with a 93 mph event exit velocity at an early age. The athleticism translates well on the field and gives him intriguing upside on both sides of the ball moving forward. If Ranieri begins to consistently translate those tools into in-game production, he has a chance to be a quick riser in these rankings over the next year.

|
Caden Korn RHP / OF / Timnath, CO / 2029Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 4
Korn comes in with a wiry 6-foot build but plenty of natural twitch already in his body. The swing projects well with his levers, and he shows feel for some easy pop with a clean, efficient route to the baseball. Korn has already registered a 95 mph top exit velocity at events, and his frame projects well for continued development as strength and size are added. With his present build, feel, and twitchy actions, there’s a clear pathway for a high ceiling as he continues to mature.
