On May 6th, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff hosted the West Milwaukee Rising Stars ID at the STiKS Academy in Waukesha, WI. Nearly 20 players participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff.

QUICK HITS

+ OF/LHP Wyatt Hotchkiss (Wisconsin Lutheran, 2030) is an athletic left/left two-way with an intruguing skillset. Strong 6-foot frame with strength throughout the frame already at a young age. Started the day running an advanced 60-yard dash at 6.91 and continued to show an advanced toolset on the day. Strong left-handed swing flashing feel to drive the ball in the air with EVs working up 94.1 mph with clean actions in the outfield while teasing some obvious arm strength. On the mound the left-hander worked up to 82 mph with life out of the hand while flashing feel for a breaking ball.

+ RHP/INF Chase Kramer (Oshkosh West, 2030) stands out physically at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds with strength througout the frame. Advanced toolset to go with the advanced strength. Took a loud round of BP flashing feel for the barrel and feel to drive the ball to both gaps with EVs reaching up to 96 mph. Steady actions in the infield with arm strength up to 83 mph across the diamond. Upside look on the mound, the fastball worked up to 82 mph flashing feel for four pitches while working around the mound.

+ INF Cruz Jaramillo (Union Grove, 2030) strong 6-foot, 190-pound infielder with strength to the frame. Clean and easy right-handed swing, working on the barrel throughout the round with feel to drive the ball through the middle of the field, reahcing a max EV of 92 mph during the round. Defensively in the infield playing with steady actions, with arm strength up to 78 mph across the diamond.
