Prep Baseball Illinois Pitcher of the Week: Jackson Heidemann
May 12, 2026
Senior RHP Jackson Heidemann (Madison JC commit) was dominant on the mound for Harlem, tossing a complete game shutout in a 2-0 win over Belvidere North. The right-hander has always been a producer for Harlem, now holding the school record for career strikeouts and helping lead them to a 19-6-1 record. For these reasons, the senior has been named this week’s Pitcher of the Week.
In his start against Belvidere North, the right-hander tossed seven innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and no walks while striking out 10 - becoming his school's all-time strikeout leader in doing so. Heidemann has now tallied 59 strikeouts on the year.
The 6-foot-2, 182-pound right-hander is currently ranked No. 166 in our 2026 rankings. An Illinois State Game alum, Heidemann has shown the fastball in the mid-80s, with a polished curveball to follow. A dominant arm at the top of this Harlem rotation, Heidemann looks to establish his excellence as we head into the thick of the Spring season.

Scouting Report
Verbally committed to Madison JC.
RHP Jackson Heideman (Harlem, 2026) is an uncommitted arm with a long-levered 6-foot-2, 182-pound frame. His fastball topped at 87.3 mph with 20.2 inches of induced vertical break, and he paired it with a curveball that showed depth and feel. Heideman controls his levers well, creating natural deception that consistently induced awkward swings from hitters.
