DRAFT HQ
2026 MLB Mock Draft: The first Mock Draft in over a month expands into the second and Compensatory Round B selections, going from 37 to 75. As the college season begins to transition to playoffs and high school seasons wrap up, the ability to see prospects in-person has generated movement all over. A prep prospect jumps 22 spots from the previous draft, a Golden Spikes campaign in the NCAA sees another prospect enter the top-5, a Massachusetts prep arm towering over the competition catapults into a potential first-round pick and more. 2026 MLB Draft Board: Playoffs underway in the warm-weather states and college ranks and the middle of the cold seasons have provided plenty of opportunities for prospects to boost their draft stock. MLB Draft Buzz - Unprecedented Southpaws: High school left handed pitching carries plenty of value in the MLB Draft. Amongst the class of 2026, nine of the top-100 are southpaws from the United States and Canada. Going deeper into the group, one stands out from the rest as Brody Bumila (Bishop Feehan HS, MA) has generated arguably the most buzz after dominating the New England scene. ICYMI - ANGELS AT BAT
On Monday, April 27, Prep Baseball announced its new partnership with Angels at Bat, a nonprofit organization dedicated to growing the game of baseball throughout Africa. In honor of Africa Month, the partnership kicked off at the beginning of May, focused on raising awareness and support for Angel at Bat’s fundraising efforts in their mission. NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL RANKINGS
Four new programs break into the top-10 in the fourth update of Prep Baseball’s National High School Rankings. 16 more schools enter the top 50 with 55 more teams to watch out for in the next update. See the full 50, state rankings, the process and more. More>>
NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
April 20-26: A Prep Baseball All-American and two-time Future Gamer, the final Player of the Week for the full week of April is RHP Trey Rangel (2026, The Colony, TX, Texas commit). The senior featured a dominant, complete game shutout with 16 of the 21 outs recorded via strikeout. More>>
April 27-May 3: The playoffs can bring out the best in a player and the latest Prep Baseball National Player of the Week is no exception. In the Sweet 16 round in Alabama, uncommitted LHP Addison Senn (Arifon HS, 2027) went all the way with 17 strikeouts for a no-hitter. More>>

Rising Stars ID: Geared towards the 13U and 14U prospects in the classes of 2030 and 2031, the Rising Stars ID serves as an introductory event to Prep Baseball. A starting point for any player with aspirations to play at the next level, the Rising Stars is an educational experience that guides a prospect through the process of a showcase.

The event takes players through the basic skills testing with a more hands-on approach from scouting directors and staff to help create the baseline for prospects to improve upon in their careers. It will also introduce them to the data aspects behind the technology that sets Prep Baseball and its evaluation apart. The Rising Stars ID will also act as an identifier for future events such as the Junior Future Games at LakePoint Sports and provide an early preview into players who may end up on Prep Baseball rankings.
