In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

Lawrence Free State secured a 7-1 victory over Gardner-Edgerton behind a dominant pitching performance from Nathan Young, who struck out nine batters while allowing zero earned runs over six innings. Owen Lester fueled the offense with three hits and two RBIs, including a crucial two-run single that gave the home team an early lead in the first inning. Despite the loss, Gardner-Edgerton saw a solid individual effort from Munden, who went 2-for-4 and drove in the team's lone run.

Manhattan defeated Great Bend 8-3, highlighted by a high-scoring third inning featuring back-to-back triples from Sawyer Newton and Jackson Goos. Brayson Gnirk earned the win on the mound, tossing six innings with five strikeouts and zero earned runs while adding an RBI single at the plate. Great Bend's effort was led by Kern and Dreiling, who both contributed hits and drove in runs during the contest.

Manhattan clinched a dramatic 6-5 walk-off victory over Great Bend when Maddox Hodges was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning. Brayson Gnirk led the offense with two hits, while starting pitcher Easton Duff provided a strong foundation by striking out seven batters over five innings. Great Bend kept the game competitive behind Kern and Wondra, who combined for four hits and four RBIs to trade leads until the final frame.

Olathe East edged out Spring Hill 2-1 in a tight pitcher's duel, surging ahead in the bottom of the sixth inning when Carter King drove in two runs on a sacrifice fly. Brett Liezert earned the complete-game victory, surrendering only one run and walking none over seven efficient innings of work. Spring Hill starter Jordan Miller delivered a standout performance in the loss, holding the opposition to just two hits and zero earned runs while striking out five.

Shawnee Mission West relied on a stellar performance from Preston Ralph to defeat Olathe North 3-1, as the starter allowed zero earned runs over nearly seven innings while adding an RBI single at the plate. The offense provided early support via an RBI triple from Nick Miller and a run-scoring groundout by Connor Witt to secure the lead. Olathe North remained competitive behind a near complete-effort from pitcher Justin Carpiniello, who battled through six and two-thirds innings.
