.733 AVG | 11 H | 8 R | 6 RBI | 1 2B | 2 SB | 3 BB

This week’s offensive Player of the Week award belongs to 2028 SS Colt Isenberg out of Bowling Green High School. The sophomore standout helped lead the Purples through a dominant 6-0 week and a now eight game win streak as they continue to surge toward the postseason. Bowling Green exploded for 56 runs during the stretch, with Isenberg serving as a key piece of the offense. The 5’9” 158-lb lefty turned in an impressive week at the plate, collecting 11 hits while scoring 8 runs and driving in 6. He added a double, three walks, and two stolen bases while consistently creating traffic on the bases all week. Isenberg impressed in his first look in front of the KY staff this winter at the Preseason All-State South event, and he has more than lived up to expectations this spring in a loaded Purples lineup. The young shortstop now sits second on the team with a .372 batting average, totaling 32 hits, 25 runs scored, and 23 RBI to go along with seven extra-base hits and 20 walks. He’s also been a perfect 12-12 on stolen bases this year. With a 29-4 overall record and the top spot in the Region 4 standings, Bowling Green has established itself as one of the top teams in the state after narrowly missing the regional tournament the past two seasons in a dominant 14th District. The Purples appear poised for a deep postseason run if they can continue this momentum, and Isenberg has been a major factor in their success. Congratulations to Colt Isenberg on being named the Prep Baseball KY Player of the Week!
