Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. The Vikings offense was led by Danny Donovan (2026; UW-Parkside Commit), who went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, a bases-clearing double, and five RBIs. Tristan Steger (2027; Kentucky Commit) went 2-for-4 with two doubles, including one that knocked in an RBI. Orlando Vazquez (2026) knocked in the RBI single, Sean Popp (2026; Oakton CC Commit) the sacrifice fly, and Cory Les (2026; Louisville Commit) the bases-loaded walk. Carter Mosher (2026; Joliet JC Commit) tossed four scoreless frames and struck out three batters to earn the win.

No. 2 Lincoln-Way East defeated Joliet West by the score of 11-8. The Griffins offense was led by Tyler Hudik (2026), who went 2-for-3 with a walk, double, single, stolen base, a run scored, and four RBIs. Jacob Newman (2026; Lewis Commit) hit an RBI double while Jack Ingram (2026; Cornell Commit) hit an RBI single to knock in an RBI each for this contest. However, it was Rocco Triolo (2027) that played hero ball with a walk-off three-run homer to win it for the Griffins. Bryson Das (2026) took the mound for the first three innings and struck out two without allowing a run. Owen Lense (2026; Quincy Commit) had a nice long relief outing by going 4.1 innings and striking out five while giving up an earned run.

No. 3 Normal Community defeated East Moline United by the score of 6-1. Max Heineman (2026; UIC Commit) led the Ironmen offense with two singles, a stolen base, two runs scored (one on the steal of home), and an RBI. Gavin Michaels (2026; Cincinnati Commit) drew two hit by pitches, two stolen bases, and a run scored. Josh Jones (2026; Indiana State Commit) had another phenomenal performance by going 4.1 innings and striking out ten batters.

No. 5 Brother Rice defeated DePaul College Prep by the score of 10-1. The Crusaders offense was led by Luca Agne (2027; Boston College Commit), Nolan Ramoley (2026; Northwestern Commit), and Charlie Rosynek (2026), who all drove in two RBIs. Agne hit the two-run single in the first inning to get the scoring started. Ramoley hit the two-run shot to put up a four-spot in the first. Rosynek hit an RBI single and RBI groundout. Stolen bases came from Nolan Ramoley (twice), Brady Cunningham (2027; Texas A&M Commit), Brent Nevils (2026; Xavier (LA) Commit), and Luca Agne. Aidan Dillon (2027) took the mound and delivered five scoreless frames and punched out five batters to earn the win.

No. 6 Lane Tech shut out York by the score of 9-0. The Champions offense was led by Zolan Wyatt (2026; UW-Oshkosh Commit), who went 3-for-4 with three singles, a run scored, and three RBIs. Matt Young (2026; UW-Whitewater Commit) went 2-for-4 with a double, two-RBI single, and two runs scored. Paris Head (2029) drove in two RBIs on his sacrifice fly and RBI groundout. Eric Acevedo (2027) and Tanner Toback (2027) both hit RBI doubles to complete a six-run fourth inning. Charles Lust (2027) threw four scoreless frames and struck out two to earn the win. Ronan Owens (2026; UMass Commit) threw two relief innings and struck out two while giving up a hit and walk. Paris Head struck out the side in the seventh inning to finish the ballgame for the Champions.

Drew Borkowski (2026; Heartland CC Commit) went 1-for-3 with a walk, two-RBI triple, and a run scored. Brady Klepfer (2026; UW-Parkside Commit) and Leo Bianchin (2026; Kishwaukee JC Commit) each hit two singles, including one that knocked in an RBI. Klepfer also took the mound and tossed five innings and struck out seven to earn the win.

The Warriors offense was led by Chase Golding (2027), who went 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI double, a solo home run, and three RBIs. Drew Wiener (2026) went 2-for-4 with two singles, including one that knocked in an RBI. Alex Edgar (2027) hit the game-winning RBI single to walk it off for the Warriors. Will Swender (2026; Rochester Commit) threw 5.1 innings and struck out seven batters. Jonathan Geren pitched 1.2 scoreless innings in relief and struck out two and got the win. For Libertyville, Braden Tolzien (2026; Heartland CC Commit) and Jack Cenar (2026) got in on the long ball. Cenar hit the two-run shot while Tolzien hit the solo blast. Trevor Wallace (2026; Wilmington Commit) hit an RBI double while Chase Lockwood (2026; Illinois State Commit) hit a two-RBI single.

No. 9 McHenry defeated Bartlett 5-4. Bennett Baumann (2026) led the Warriors with two hits and an RBI, while Carver Cohn (2028), Kaden Wasniewski (2027; LSU), Garet Lobbins (2027), Jeffry Schwab (2026), and Aidan Mueller (2027) each recorded hits in the game. Carson White (2027) earned the win on the mound, tossing two scoreless out of the 'pen for the Warriors. For Bartlett, Brandon Pelz (2026; Valparaiso) recorded a triple at the plate.

The Caravan offense was led by TJ McQuillan (2026; Wake Forest Commit), who walked, got hit by two pitches, stole a base, and hit a a three-run home run. He and Joey Ireland (2026; Illinois Commit) hit back-to-back home runs to complete a nine-run first inning. Logan Fernandez (2026; Triton JC Commit) hit a two-RBI double, Cylis Rainey (2029) the two-RBI single, and Owen Morgan (2027) hit a sacrifice fly and RBI double to knock in his two RBIs of the game.

No. 11 St. Joseph-Ogden came from behind and defeated Galesburg by the score of 8-4. The Spartans scored eight unanswered runs to win the ballgame. Trevor Ames (2026; Morton JC Commit) went 2-for-3 with a single, two-run homer, and two runs scored. Logan Rosenthal (2026; Heartland CC Commit) went 1-for-3 with a walk, two-RBI double, two stolen bases, and a run scored. Finn Miller (2027) and Cam Schluter (2026) hit back-to-back RBI singles to give the Spartans the lead in the fifth inning. Miller also stole two bags in this contest. He also pitched the final two innings and struck out three to record the six-out save.

McKinney went 2-for-2 with two singles, two hit by pitches, a stolen base, two runs scored, and three RBIs. Wright went 1-for-3 with a walk, two-RBI single, and an RBI fielder's choice. RBI singles also came from Bryson Houchens (2026; Morton JC Commit), Finn Miller (2027), and Asher Pruemer (2026; Kaskaskia JC Commit). Dalton York (2027) pitched a five-inning complete game and struck out four batters.

Nolan Keller (2026; Kaskaskia JC Commit) hit a clutch two-RBI single in the sixth inning which proved to be the game winner. Pearce Goodfield (2026; Southwestern Illinois JC Commit) started on the mound and threw 4.2 frames and struck out four. Brody Hasquin (2027) went 2.1 scoreless frames and struck out two to earn the win. For O'Fallon, Owen Stoffel (2026) had a nice start on the mound by going 4.2 innings and striking out six while giving up one hit and an earned run.

Grady Garofalo (2026; South Suburban JC commit; 2-for-3, 3B, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB), Matthew Ciesla (2026; 2 H, 2B, 2 RBI), Zane Schneider (2027; 2 H, RBI, 2 R, 2 SB) each collected two hits for Lemont.

AJ Minderman (2028) tosssed four innings and struck out five to earn the win. Blake Kopec (2026) went three shutout innings in relief and struck out eight of the 12 batters he faced to notch the nine-out save.

Alec Novotney (2026; Valparaiso Commit) went 2-for-4 with a walk, double, RBI bunt single, and a run scored. Debernardi nearly took it the distance but instead pitched 6.2 shutout innings and struck out four to earn the win.

Zane Caves (2026; Michigan State commit) got the start and the win on the mound going four innings, allowing just one earned run, while striking out eight.

Landon Leach (2028) threw four innings and struck out three batters to earn the win. Cole Woodward tossed three scoreless frames in relief and also struck out three batters to notch the save. For Edwardsville, Hunter Baugh (2026; Lindenwood Commit) hit a two-run double to knock in both RBIs of the game for the Tigers.

The Tigers were led by Andrew McCutchen (2029; 2-for-4, 2B, R), Nicholas Chiarodo (2028; 2-for-4, 3 RBI, SB, R), and Nathan Bukovac (2027; 2-for-3, 2B, RBI, SB, R) offensively en route to the win. Jax Andreas (2026; SIUE), Calyx Wise (2026), and Brady Hasquin (2026) each put together scoreless appearances on the mound. For Highland, Tyler Mehrtens (2028) recorded two hits and an RBI at the plate.

Alec Harer (2027; 1-for-3 2 R), Tanner Beyna (2027; 4-for-4 2B, 3B, 2 RBI, 2 R), Brandon Thomsen (2026, Purdue; 1-for-2 2 RBI), Tommy Beyna (2026; 1-for-3 HR, 2 RBI), Gianluca Pellegrino (2-for-2, 2B), and Hunter Lockefeer (2028; 1-for-3 RBI) led the way offensively in the win. Game 2: Saint Viator completed the sweep of No. 25 Nazareth Academy 5-1. Jack Corliss tossed a complete game with six strikeouts. While the offense was paced by Brandon Thomsen (2026, Purdue; 3-for-3 HR, 2 RBI, R), Jonathan Tschanz (2026, SWIC; 1-for-3 R), Jacob Oberwise (2026; 3-for-4 2B, RBI), and Hunter Lockefeer (2028; 1-for-3 2 R). Saint Viator improves to 20-7-1 and 11-3 in ESCC play.

On the mound, Tommy Neubert (2027) tossed three innings, allowing no hits, no runs, two walks, and struck out seven.

Morton took down Eureka 12-0 thanks to a dominant start on the mound from Alex McKie (2026). The RHP tossed a seven-inning complete game on just 73 pitches, allowing six hits, no runs, no walks, and four strikeouts. Jude Parnham (2027) ropes two doubles, driving in two, and Cam Crawford (2026; Jefferson JC) homered in the win.

Alleman got a win over ROWVA/Williamsfield on Saturday, Everett Smith (2029) gets his fourth win of the season after tossing five innings, allowing four hits, three runs, and five strikeouts. Truman Marner (2027) doubled, walked twice, scored three times, and drove in two. Brady Williams (2027). Drew Peterson (2028), and Carter Erickson (2029) eacg collected two hits, Peterson with two doubles and three RBIs.

Eliot Warren (2027) homered and tripled, drove in five runs, and Kingsley Evans (2026l Claremont-Mudd-Scripps) homered, and drove in two. Carson Maranda (2026) led the Rochards offense with four hits, two doubles, and two RBIs. Carter Gillen (2027) finishes the game 2-for-4, with a homer, three RBIs, and two runs scored .

Jackson Lee (2027; 2 H, 2 RBI), Nick Stowasser (2027; H, RBI, R), Nolan Dabrowski (2026; Wisconsin-River Falls commit; H, 2 R, BB), and Wes Bogda (2028; H, SB) led the way for the Gators. Tanner Maurer (2027) earned the win out of the pen going four scoreless innings, punching out three.

Marian Catholic cruised past Carmel 11-4. Caden Blakely (2027), Jazarris Mackmore (2027; UIC commit) and Lacey Rogers Jr. (2028) each homered. Matt Gonzalez (2026; Lake Land JC) and Tyler Thomas (2029) each collected three hits. Gonzalez also got the win on the mound striking out six over five innings.
