WIAA HEADLINES
Let’s break down the movement inside our latest Power 25 update of 2026.
AT THE TOP
+ No. 1 Kimberly (13-1): Coming off a 4-0 week with two narrow Power 25 victories against Appleton North (3-2) and Hortonville (1-0) which only continues to strengthen their case to remain at the top spot. Senior DH Lex Kneabe has been a constant producer for the Papermakers as a senior and came up big in all four games, including a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning against Hortonville for the lead. The pitching staff continues to fill the zone at a high-rate no matter who toes the rubber, giving the staff a deep group of arms to go-to on the mound.
RISERS
+ No. 3 Bay Port (18-2): The Pirates continue to win at a high rate, going 4-0 on the week and extending their win streak to 10 wins while maintaining a perfect 13-0 record in conference. The lineup continues to see contributions from all nine batters, C Arthur Adams (2027) swung a hot bat along with SS Eli Hart (2028) as the pair drove in 13 runs on the week. The starting pitching continues to be a strength, all of them pitching deep into games and have stacked a number of strong outings together.
+ No. 4 Muskego (13-4): Shooting back into the top-5 after a brief hiatus, the Warriors have rattled off eight straight wins, including four conference wins last week. Runs were seemingly easy to come by last week outsourcing opponents 46-7 over the four games with the entire lineup producing throughout the week. The pitchers also found a grove with a trio of senior arms tossing complete games this week.
+ No. 5 Germantown (16-0): Fresh off yet another perfect week, going 4-0 with wins against Marquette University (3-1), West Allis Hale (6-3, 8-2) and Greenfield (8-2). The lineup is experienced yet has a mix of exciting sophomores that depending on the day could perform as one of the top hitters in the lineup. The youth extends to the mound as well as the Brady’s (Keller and Lauer) have stepped up as some of the top arms on staff while another sophomore in Landon Hagland is an effective two-way piece for the Warhawks.
+ No. 8 Franklin (15-1): The Sabres picked up three conference wins against Kenosha Bradford before picking up a Power 25 win over Kaukauna with the tying run on third. The lineup remains deep with constant producers throughout the order with a couple of emerging sophomores in C Tavin Nass and INF/UTL Dom Bombien that could continue to build off their strong seasons.
+ No. 10 Wisconsin Lutheran (11-4): A 3-0 week for the Vikings that saw them sweep Greendale (12-2, 9-1) with a 3-1 win over Wauwatosa East over the weekend. It’s a well-balanced team with a deep lineup and a pitching staff that is getting stronger with more experience.
+ No. 11 West Bend West (16-0): The Spartans jump up four spots after another perfect week going 4-0 and remain undefeated on the season. The lineup is balanced and has different players performing each night. Steady pitching efforts from the starters and the bullpen has allowed the Spartans to play with a lead for the majority of the season.
+ No. 13 Chippewa Falls (13-3): Jumping up six spots in this update after a 4-0 week where the Cardinals swept both Marshfield (10-8, 15-4) and Rice Lake (10-0, 16-4). The lineup continues to churns out runs at a high rate, senior infielder Gavin Thompson (Carroll University) is a steady and consistent run producing threat in the middle of the lineup driving in eight runs on six hits over the week.
+ No. 14 Verona Area (11-4): The Wildcats were busy playing five games last week going 4-1 over the stretch with the only loss coming on Saturday against Elkhorn Area (10-8), while picking up a sweep over Madison La Follette and single wins over Monona Grove (6-3) and East Troy (13-3).
+ No. 15 Sun Prairie East (13-4): The Cardinals turned in a 4-0 week with three conference wins including a sweep over Middleton (7-2, 10-0) and a close Power 25 win over Milton (9-7) before a 11-1 victory over Watertown on Saturday. The lineup can perform like one of the top in the state when right and the pitching staff is experienced with some upside from a couple of talented underclass arms.
+ No. 16 Pewaukee (17-2): The Pirates are the biggest risers in this update, moving all the way up to No. 16 after a quality 4-0 week with a sweep over New Berlin West (11-1, 18-3) and wins over Catholic Memorial (9-4) and St. Thomas More (16-6). A younger roster that continues to perform when tested and will be tested again against a strong Waukesha North squad this upcoming week.
+ No. 19 Cedar Grove Belgium (13-1): The Rockets are coming off of a 4-0 with a statement win against New Berlin Eisenhower (14-6) against a quality pitching staff. Potentially the strongest lineup in D3 with a true X-Factor in CF/SS/RHP Ira Hilbelink (2027, Minnesota) and a pitching staff with a number of capable arms at their disposal.
NEWCOMERS
+ No. 17 Neenah (11-5): The Rockets make their debut after putting a quality resume together highlighted by a 4-0 week with Power 25 wins over Appleton North (3-1) and Hortonville (4-3) while picking up wins against Menasha (6-3) and Appleton West (11-1). Senior right-handers Gus Weinholzer and Cal Juckem have been nails, pitching the majority of the big innings this spring working as a 1/1 or Co-Ace this spring after seeing a large number of innings last spring.
+ No. 25 Stevens Point Area (12-3): The 12-3 Panthers make their debut on the Power 25 after a 4-0 week with two wins over Wausau East (10-0, 7-1) and a sweep over La Crosse Central (6-1, 6-0). It's an efficient and well-balanced lineup with a number of contributors up and down the lineup card. The pitching staff has been able to keep the bases clear in flashes, and the Panthers have proven to be a tough team to beat when the staff limits baserunners.
