Prep Baseball Wisconsin Player of the Week: Alex Michna
May 13, 2026
Junior OF Alex Michna (uncommitted) put together some eye-popping numbers as he helped lead New Berlin Eisenhower to a 4-1 record this past week. The left-handed bat went 13-for-19 with two home runs, two triples, four doubles, 16 RBIs, two walks, 11 runs, and eight stolen bases. The highlight of the week was a two-run home run in a loss to Cedar Grove-Belgium, which sparked an offensive rally, while down 11-2. For these reasons, the senior has been named this week’s Player of the Week.
Michna started his week going 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk, as the Lions cruised to a 7-0 victory over Waukesha South. He would then follow this up with a 3-for-3 performance, collecting five RBIs, a walk, and two doubles in a dominant 22-1 win over Pius XI. The following day, the Lions would face Prius XI once more, where Michna would top his previous performance. Going 5-for-6 with five RBIs, a double, and two triples, as the Lions would win 22-2. His two triples came in the top of the 7th, where the Lions put up 11-runs.
Then, in the back half of the week, Michna would go 2-for-3, with three RBIs and a double. This would help lead the Lions to a 12-2 victory over Greenfield. Then the lone loss this week came against Cedar Grove-Belgium in a 14-6 battle. One that saw Michna go 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a two-run home run.
The 6-foot, 204-pound junior is currently ranked 47th in the 27’ class and has been showing production all year long. Helping lead the Lions to a 12-5 record, the left-hand bat looks to continue his charge of the top-half of the order as we enter an important two-week span.
