Assistant Director, Canada

On Tuesday, April 12th, the Prep Baseball Alberta staff hosted it's first of two Spring Future Games Trials on the weekend with the Calgary Spring Future Games Trials hosted at Webber Academy Athletic Park, home of the Webber Wildcats, in Calgary, Alberta.

This event featured roughly 32 prospects in the 2026 - 2031 classes and it was a strong group of players, both on the positional and pitching side, competing for a spot on one of Canada's three teams heading to the Future Games in late July... The Canadian Future Games team (2028/2029 prospects), Senior Future Games team (2026/27 prospects) and the Junior Future Games team (2030). Players attending Future Games Trials events also qualify to be selected for other marquee events including West Coast Games (CA), West Coast Super Sophomore Games (OR) and more.

All player ran through a full workout that included batting practice and bullpens captured on our TrackMan, as well as 60-yard sprints and splits captured by VALD Performance and positional metrics. Over the next several days we'll be highlighting top performers from the event within our post-event analysis. Stay locked into our social media channels over the next several days as we continue to push out video, leaderboards and more.
