In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

Kickapoo snatched a late 3-2 victory over Willard on Thursday, securing the deciding run in the bottom of the sixth inning when a steal of home broke a 2-2 deadlock. Nick Long set the tone early for Kickapoo with an RBI triple and finished with two hits on the day, while Conner Smith earned the win with two scoreless frames in relief. Willard stayed competitive through a dominant complete-game pitching effort from Levi Hilton, who struck out seven batters and allowed just three hits.

Blue Valley Northwest outlasted Blue Springs South for a thrilling 6-5 walk-off victory in the bottom of the eighth inning on Thursday, securing the win when a bases-loaded walk forced home the deciding run. The walk-off finish capped off a back-and-forth battle where Blue Valley Northwest’s offense pounded out 12 total hits. Despite the heartbreaking loss, Blue Springs South fought back at the plate with a 10-hit performance, led by multi-hit games from Logen McFerron and Wyatt Denney.

Webb City secured a dramatic 3-2 walk-off victory over Seneca on Thursday, sealed by Trevor Lofland's game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning. Tate Lewis delivered a dominant complete-game performance on the mound for the victors, striking out 10 batters and allowing zero earned runs over seven innings, while Mason Williams fueled the offense with a game-tying solo home run in the fifth. Seneca's competitive effort was kept intact by starting pitcher Jagger Wilson, who gave up just three hits over four innings, and Remington Albrecht, who reached base twice with two hits.

SLUH defeated Parkway West 7-2 on Thursday, sparked by a decisive four-run outburst in the bottom of the second inning. Connar Lucas anchored the offense by going 3-for-4 at the plate, highlighted by a bases-clearing three-run double to blow the game open early. Parkway West managed to scrape together a pair of runs, driven in by their number five hitter, but struggled to find answers against a flawless relief appearance from Jackson Redfearn.

Rolla edged past Jackson for a 1-0 shutout victory on Thursday, capitalizing early on a second-inning error to score the game's only run. Jenson Thomas delivered a masterpiece on the mound for the victors, striking out 11 batters and allowing zero hits over six scoreless innings of work. Despite the tough loss, Jackson received a strong pitching performance of their own from starter Carter Shipman, who surrendered just three hits and struck out five over four frames.

Lafayette defeated Vianney 4-2 on Thursday, breaking a 2-2 tie in the top of the fourth inning when Will Dunbar delivered a clutch, go-ahead RBI single. Asher Krimmel earned the victory on the mound, giving up zero earned runs and striking out four over three and two-thirds innings of work, while Michael Sinn and Chase Roeder each paced the offense with two hits apiece. Vianney fought to stay within striking distance behind a strong day from Logan Declue, who finished 3-for-4 at the plate.

Oakville struggled to keep pace with CBC on Thursday, falling 8-1 after the visitors jumped out to an immediate lead in the top of the first inning. Corde Gage and Patrick Effer powered the dominant offensive showing for CBC, with each collecting two RBIs, while starting pitcher Chris Teschner threw five scoreless frames of three-hit ball. Dylan Lyons, Ben Delic, Kaleb Owens, and CJ Lake each finished the day with a hit in the losing effort.

Logan-Rogersville defeated Marshfield 5-4 on Thursday in spectacular fashion, with a dramatic walk-off comeback in the bottom of the seventh inning. Trailing by two with two runners on base, Rohman Menke sent a three-run home run out to left field to seal the victory for the Wildcats. Marshfield's strong effort was anchored by starting pitcher Hunter Fryman, who struck out eight over five innings, and Carson Adams, who blasted a solo home run to center field.

Southern Boone relied on a stellar, combined four-pitcher effort to shut out Father Tolton for a narrow 1-0 victory on Thursday. Brody Troth earned the win in relief and Kellen Schaller secured the final out to cap off the dominant mound display, which was supported by Jackson Woodward's fourth-inning RBI groundout. Father Tolton's starting pitcher, Wyatt Quevreaux, threw a gem in the loss, giving up just one run on two hits over six innings, while leadoff hitter Gibson Moore paced their offense with two hits.
