Hamilton survived a tightly contested playoff battle Saturday night, edging O'Connor 4-3 at HoHoKam Stadium. The Huskies answered after falling behind early, highlighted by Tyler Nelson's game tying home run in the third inning before Rahn delivered the go ahead two run double in the fifth. Wise controlled the game through five innings and Thompson closed the door late to secure the victory. Hamilton will now go on to face Corona del Sol for the 6A State Championship on Tuesday, May 19th in Tempe.

Scottsdale Christian capped off its postseason run Saturday night with a 7-3 victory over Benson at Tempe Diablo Stadium to claim the 2A State Championship. The Eagles broke the game open with a five run third inning behind timely swings from Kendrick and Stravitz, creating the separation they needed early. Tims delivered a complete game performance on the mound, striking out eight while working through nine hits allowed to lead Scottsdale Christian to a state title.

Trimble powered the offense with four RBIs, while Pedraza shined on both sides of the ball to help the Vikings regain momentum late. Williams finished with 14 total hits in an impressive championship performance.
