Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Washington Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Washington Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

Jake Miller SS / RHP / Sumner, WA / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 18 / POS: 5 The Sumner High School junior and Washington commit was hot across three playoff games last week, going 5-9 with 4 XBH to win POTW in week 10. The lefty bat slugged 2 home runs and 2 doubles, adding 4 runs, 5 RBI and 2 walks on the whole. The talented infielder has been a huge force for Sumner this spring after a strong look at PNW State Games last summer.
