AHSAA Class 7A-1A Playoffs: Final 4 Top Performers

ALABAMA — With a spot in the state championship series on the line, the Final Four round of the AHSAA Class 7A-1A playoffs brought another weekend filled with pressure-packed baseball and standout individual performances. Across the state, teams turned to their stars in the biggest moments, whether it was dominant complete-game efforts on the mound, timely extra-base hits, or clutch swings that changed the course of a series.

From comeback victories and late-inning heroics to shutdown pitching performances against some of the top competition remaining in the state, the semifinal round once again highlighted the talent still standing in the chase for a blue map.

Here’s a look at the top performers from the Final Four who helped send their teams to the state championship series.


Class 7A Top Performers

  • Angelo Santiago (Auburn) went a perfect 4-4 with a double in Game 1 as Auburn swept Central-Phenix City.
  • Lawson Hare (Auburn) delivered a strong two-way series, going 3-4 with 3 RBI in Game 1 before tossing a complete-game win in Game 2 with 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, and 7 K as Auburn swept Central-Phenix City.
  • Antwane Daniels (Auburn) went 5-7 with a home run, double, and 3 RBI across both games as Auburn swept Central-Phenix City.
  • Bryson Sheppard (Auburn) went 4-7 with a double and RBI across both games as Auburn swept Central-Phenix City.
  • Jace Riggan (Hewitt-Trussville) earned the Game 1 win, tossing 6.2 IP with 5 H, 0 ER, and 4 K as Hewitt-Trussville took ⅔ from Thompson.
  • Cale McIntosh (Hewitt-Trussville) delivered a strong Game 3 outing, tossing 6.1 IP with 4 H, 1 ER, and 8 K as Hewitt-Trussville took ⅔ from Thompson.
  • Andrew Walker (Hewitt-Trussville) went 5-8 with two doubles and 5 RBI across Games 1 and 3 as Hewitt-Trussville took ⅔ from Thompson.

Class 6A Top Performers

  • Barrett McKelvey (Hartselle) earned the Game 1 complete-game win, tossing 7 IP with 5 H, 3 ER, and 3 K as Hartselle swept Hazel Green.
  • Cain Falciani (Hartselle) went 2-2 with an RBI triple in Game 1 as Hartselle swept Hazel Green.
  • Sam Gillette (Hartselle) went 2-2 with an RBI double in Game 1 as Hartselle swept Hazel Green.
  • Rhys Jones (Spain Park) went 2-3 with a double and reached base four times in Game 1 as Spain Park swept Northridge.
  • Brodie Bragg (Spain Park) went 2-4 with a double in Game 1 as Spain Park swept Northridge.
  • Hudson Franks (Spain Park) delivered a complete-game shutout in Game 2, tossing 7 IP with 6 H and 6 K as Spain Park swept Northridge.

Class 5A Top Performers

  • Drew Jackson (American Christian) earned the Game 1 win, tossing 6.2 IP with 3 H, 0 R, and 9 K, while also adding a hit at the plate as American Christian swept Moody.
  • BJ Garth (American Christian) went 2-4 with a double and 5 RBI in Game 1 as American Christian swept Moody.
  • Hunter Elmore (American Christian) delivered a dominant two-way series, earning the Game 2 win with 6.2 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, and 11 K, while also going 4-7 with a home run and 4 RBI across both games as American Christian swept Moody.
  • Christian Freeman (Faith Academy) tossed a complete-game one-hitter in Game 2, allowing 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, and striking out 9 as Faith Academy took ⅔ from Briarwood Christian.
  • Bryce Turner (Faith Academy) went 3-4 with a double in the decisive Game 3 win as Faith Academy took ⅔ from Briarwood Christian.
  • Tucker Richardson (Faith Academy) went 2-2 with two doubles and 2 RBI in Game 3 as Faith Academy took ⅔ from Briarwood Christian.
  • Collin Hall (Faith Academy) went 4-7 with a double and 2 RBI across Games 2 and 3 as Faith Academy took ⅔ from Briarwood Christian.

Class 4A Top Performers

  • Bo Kilgo (Westbrook Christian) delivered a complete-game win in Game 3, tossing 7 IP with 3 K while also driving in a run at the plate as Westbrook Christian took ⅔ from Central-Florence.
  • Brody Blevins (Westbrook Christian) went 3-5 with two home runs and 3 RBI in Game 3 as Westbrook Christian took ⅔ from Central-Florence.
  • Brady Ryan (Westbrook Christian) went 5-7 with two doubles and 3 RBI across Games 1 and 3 as Westbrook Christian took ⅔ from Central-Florence.
  • Jacob Maples (Westbrook Christian) went 5-8 with 4 RBI across Games 2 and 3 as Westbrook Christian took ⅔ from Central-Florence.
  • Ethan McMillan (Bibb County) earned a dominant complete-game win in Game 2, tossing 7 IP with 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, and 10 K, while also adding a double and going 2-2 with an RBI in Game 3 as Bibb County took ⅔ from Opp.
  • Kaige Watkins (Bibb County) delivered a complete-game win in Game 3, tossing 7 IP with 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, and 9 K, while also going 2-4 with 2 RBI as Bibb County took ⅔ from Opp.
  • Cortez Morrow (Bibb County) went 3-4 with a double and RBI in Game 3 as Bibb County took ⅔ from Opp.

Class 3A Top Performers

  • Collin Pate (Gordo) delivered a dominant two-way performance in Game 1, tossing a complete-game win with 7 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, and 4 K, while also going 2-4 with a triple and 3 RBI, before recording the final out in Game 2 with the tying run at the plate as Gordo swept Piedmont.
  • Makain Robertson (Gordo) went 2-4 with a home run, double, and 4 RBI in Game 1 as Gordo swept Piedmont.
  • Ryder Robertson (Gordo) earned the Game 2 win, tossing 6.2 IP with 6 H, 2 ER, and 4 K as Gordo swept Piedmont.
  • Carter Judah (Glenwood) erupted offensively across both games, going 4-5 with two home runs and 7 RBI as Glenwood swept Lee-Scott Academy.
  • Cal Lawrence (Glenwood) launched two home runs and drove in 7 RBI across both games as Glenwood swept Lee-Scott Academy.
  • Hudson Campbell (Glenwood) reached base in all four plate appearances in Game 2, finishing with a home run, 2 RBI, and 3 BB as Glenwood swept Lee-Scott Academy.
  • Cooper Favors (Glenwood) earned the Game 1 complete-game win, tossing 5 IP with 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, and 5 K as Glenwood swept Lee-Scott Academy.

Class 2A Top Performers

  • Brooks Campbell (Mars Hill Bible) delivered a dominant two-way series, going 3-4 with a home run, double, and 4 RBI in Game 1 before tossing a complete-game win in Game 2 with 7 IP, 2 ER, and 5 K as Mars Hill Bible swept Red Bay.
  • Malen Moore (Mars Hill Bible) reached base four times in Game 1 with a double, RBI, and 2 BB, then delivered a game-tying two-RBI single in the 5th inning of Game 2 as Mars Hill Bible swept Red Bay.
  • Beau Willis (Mars Hill Bible) went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI in Game 1 as Mars Hill Bible swept Red Bay.
  • Cody Willis (Mars Hill Bible) powered the offense in Game 1, going 2-3 with a home run and 5 RBI as Mars Hill Bible swept Red Bay.
  • Easton Kilpatrick (Ariton) contributed on both sides in Game 1, earning the win on the mound while also going 3-4 with a home run and 4 RBI as Ariton took ⅔ from GW Long.
  • Wells Ganey (Ariton) powered the offense across Games 1 and 3, going 4-6 with two home runs, two doubles, 5 RBI, and 2 BB as Ariton took ⅔ from GW Long.

Class 1A Top Performers

  • Ethan Jones (Fayetteville) contributed on both sides throughout the series, earning the Game 1 win with 4 IP, 2 ER, and 3 K, while also going 2-2 with two home runs, 3 RBI, and 2 BB in Game 2 as Fayetteville swept University Charter.
  • Adan Hernandez (Fayetteville) drove in three runs with a double in Game 1 before going 2-3 in Game 2 as Fayetteville swept University Charter.
  • Cole Brand (Hubbertville) delivered a dominant complete-game win in Game 2, tossing 5 IP with 1 H, 1 ER, and 10 K, while also going 2-3 with 2 RBI as Hubbertville took ⅔ from Appalachian.
  • Landon Dodd (Hubbertville) delivered a strong Game 3 outing, tossing 6.1 IP with 3 ER and 6 K, while also driving in a run at the plate as Hubbertville took ⅔ from Appalachian.
