As we have for the past few years, each week we will be highlighting the staff's pick for the VA/DC High School Player of the Week. Each selection is made from a game that a staff member was at the previous week. While last week, due to spring break in a few places, was a bit lighter in terms of total game count, it was not light in terms of big output from players. Take a look at who brings home the Week 9 Player of the Week.

VA/DC Player of the Week: Ryan Steeper

While the Saints came up a little short in the VISAA DI State Championship game, it was not because of a lack of production from Ryan Steeper. The do-it-all senior capped off his career with a 4-4 performance on Saturday, including three homeruns and a hard hit single. In addition to his epic performance in Saturday's finale, the Washington & Lee commit also threw three solid innings on the mound and had a another homerun in the semifinals on Friday. Steeper has been a huge bright spot for STAB all season and his four homerun performance in the final two games of the season was just a small glimpse into the type of season he had.
