FROM SATURDAY (2.21.26)

+ NORTH PONTOTOC VS. AMORY

Amory pulled off a dramatic comeback Saturday, rallying from a six-run deficit to secure a 7-6 walk-off win over North Pontotoc. After falling behind early, the Panthers chipped away and tied the game before winning it in the seventh on Allmond’s walk-off single. Reeves was key in relief, tossing 4.1 scoreless innings to earn the win, while Falkner led the offense with three RBIs. Amory now turns its attention to a home matchup with South Pontotoc.

Moss Point walked it off Saturday with a 3-2 win over Lumberton, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh on Thompson’s game-winning double. The Tigers trailed late after Lumberton took a one-run lead in the top of the inning, but responded immediately to seal the victory. Evans went the distance on the mound to earn the win, while Thompson led the offense with two RBIs. Moss Point also showed patience and aggressiveness, drawing seven walks and stealing five bases, and now turns to a matchup with Murphy on Tuesday.

+ NORTHWEST RANKIN VS. LAFAYETTE

Northwest Rankin cruised to a 12-0 win over Lafayette on Saturday, erupting for eight runs in the first inning to set the tone early. The Cougars added three more in the third to put the game away, with Pixley’s grand slam and homers from Barthel, Thompson, and Crawley highlighting the offense. Williams earned the win with five scoreless innings, while Northwest Rankin played clean defense and drew six walks. The Cougars now turn their attention to a matchup with North Pike.

+ NESHOBA CENTRAL VS. KOSCISUKO
